refering to an arest of a black havard prof, a friend of his, obama said "the actions of the CPD were stupid" and linked the event to the history of racial profiling in America

now the black cops on scene fully support the white cops actions who arrested the man, and demand an apology from obama for the insult.

Preston said. "To make such an off-handed comment about a subject without benefit of the facts, in such a public forum, hurts police/community relations and is a setback to all of the years of progress."

i dont kow about u guys but i am starting to get tired of obama and his push of all these policies that dont work and waste money. and now he is already racism into mix in his primetime speaches.

the stimulus is a joke. florida where i live unemployment continues to go up (over10%)

& his health care policy is going to wreck america,

yes, Obama should've kept his clapper shut on that whole thing. And I'm not at all convinced that the cop did anything wrong.

As for the stimulus, it may end up not being a good idea, but you can't really judge it based on unemployment in your area after a few months; the nature of a massive fiscal policy such as this one is that it plays out over a very long time. We'll still be feeling the effects of it kicking in next year, for better or for worse (the worse part is if it ends up driving up inflation). Besides, how do you know what the unemployment rate would have been without the stimulus? ;)

the unemployment would have sky rocketed immediately but we would have been over it already on the road to recovery rather than hanging on for dear life where we are now.

unemployment would have been closer to 25% if we took the hit hard but we would on the road to recovery.

Reason enough to give a big par-tay and invite the whole world to it on december 31st 2011. I hope I've done my deep water solo climb by then, after thatI couldn't care less what happens :D

The fun thing about this recession going on though is that people expect immediate effect when something like a stimulus package is unleashed, while even when the economy starts to recover it will take years before it is back at the same level just before the crunch. Patience is a virtue, and Obama ain't no wizard.

we're in one of the hardest hit states, actually we're #2 behind California in forclosures...

The Sunshine State also reported 64,588 foreclosure filings in April, second only to California’s 96,560 filings.
