Re: Random thoughts
The city of Los Angeles once named a street after Jack Bauer in gratitude for his saving the city several times. They had to rename it after people kept dying when they tried to cross the street. No one crosses Jack Bauer and lives.
There are two hands that can beat a royal flush. Jack Bauer's right hand and Jack Bauer's left hand.
If Jack Bauer had been a Spartan the movie would have been called "1".
Re: Random thoughts
 Chuck Norris revisited .
Been a good day today , found a great management tool for my ipod, and after trying umpteen things over 16 months to clear my hearing and sinus infection, I think it's working!! I'm hearing really well at the moment. :D
This may be the reason i wanted to sort out my iTunes/iPod issues
Re: Random thoughts
^What did you do to sort the sinus and hearing out ??
Re: Random thoughts
WOW, i must get one of them things. Everyone else has got one

@ nick007
You name it !! I went through everything the eye and ear hospital had to offer, steroids, antibiotics, multiple types of nasal sprays. None of it worked, so a couple of months ago I decided to go alternative. One of the reasons was the only time I got my hearing back at one stage was a natural hayfever relief thing. So I hit the internet looking for natural alternatives. First thing I found was that according to an american study, 93% of these chronic sinus infections are actually caused by mould. Which would explain why nothing that the eye and ear hospital gave me worked. Worked on building up the immune system, eating properly, and olive leaf extract. Natural antibiotic, oil of wild oregano, grapeseed extract nasal spray, and I made up my own nasal spray, saline with a few drops of tea tree oil . Tea tree oil is a fungicide , as well as an antiseptic. Lastly, neti pot washes. It's not all gone yet, but the pain has gone, my head feels much, much better and hearing is soooo much better.
As you can see I am determined. :)
Just out of interest the original sinus infection came about because I took cold and flu tablets a couple of days in a row, Hernan was here in Melbourne, wasn't going to miss his shows  All that runny nose thing we get with colds is to help our body get rid of the waste, shouldn't be fried up.!! I've always been prone to sinus infections , but only got them when I took cold and flu tablets. But I think taking them for more than I one day at a time was the killer.
Not a very random post is it.
Forgot to mention, I had lost my sense of taste and smell as well . Got those back a couple of weeks ago. :D I now know when I am wearing too much perfume:lol:
Re: Random thoughts
^ great DIdi !!! I went through that, too. I´m into alternative since many years ago. It works. And if it doesn´t work, it helps other methods that doctors give you.
Re: Random thoughts
^^^ I always look for natural alternatives, but for some reason I didn't here. Which was really silly, if I had I wouldn't have had it as long. You have no idea how good the clicks of the keyboard sound
Re: Random thoughts
^1 spray of perfume is usually plenty Didi ;)
Congrats on the sinus's ... hope they aren't clearing up purely because of the seasons changing though
Re: Random thoughts
sinus problems?
let the coke be insufflated!

Re: Random thoughts
no really, get samples of omnaris or flonase (prescription nasal sprays)
Re: Random thoughts
sinus reconstruction surgery: you'll never have problems again... ever.
Re: Random thoughts
no really, get samples of omnaris or flonase (prescription nasal sprays)
Made it worse,
Sinus surgery, looked up the stats and it isn't successful all the time. And anyway getting better everyday ! :D
Never tried coke
John, we are coming into what would be the worst season for this sort of thing so it's not , and I am breathing perfectly, thank goodness. :D
Re: Random thoughts
^I can relate to the extent that I had deviated septum surgery and can breathe so much better through my nose now... I was at like 90% blockage or something awful like that..
congrats!
Re: Random thoughts
^^ That would have been awful. Apparently I have slightly deviated septum, so it's really only a problem if I have a bad cold.
Re: Random thoughts
Bauer powa!
Re: Random thoughts
oreos for breakfast?? no thanks

Re: Random thoughts
the dang cd player in my car is not working and got no aux connection, this sux
Re: Random thoughts
darn, i feel for y'all. i must make this clear though: it critically depends on the doctor and surgery team, and patient constituency. i had a deviated septum as well, plus sinus and allergy hell - but i also had one of the best ENT(ear nose and throat) doctors in the world perform his operation on me. no surgery is ever safe, and no results are perfect. i actually happen to have some nerve damage in my upper lip; it's uncomfortable at times but i get over it. i recommend researching beforehand.
