^Dont know about you but I asked to be retrenched as i felt that if i closed the door on a job I hated another one will open. It has been amazing, I have had two offers so far apart its bizarre. One is a construction regional managers job which will be in the african sun with shorts, t- shirts and doing what I love and the other is a fifa 2010 accreditation post which will give me such scope and exposure to my qualifications and the possiblity of opening my own company again. I just felt it was the right timing to be available to do something I would enjoy for a while

^^^ I have three open offers now... up in the air... Thinking about taking one and going home... Tough part is i've been with my current company 10years... and I have a sick position, but I now HATE my job...

^My last job was very high profile, dealing with VVIP's, Presidents of countries and celebrities, but also just got to the stage where I could not get out of bed without hating myself for doing it because of the money. I want to be happy in a job and I only have that many years left to do so. Its a tough one cause I have my daughter to think about and also my sanity. Will be thinking about you and your decisions and hoping I make the right one too!

Johnnyboy, and nick007. It sounds as though you both have wonderful opportunities . I would grab them with both hands. Life is too short to be at a job you hate. And nick007, your daughter deserves a happy dad :D

i have come to realize that a job isn't always about the money. quality of life that some jobs bring are an unadvertised fringe benefit.
