I just can't make it.
Re: Random T**ugh,s
Dark Energy tells us - we are alone, on our own, we can live better without help from others, we don't need each other or anyone else, we are islands. But the Light says - we were designed to work together, help each other, make each other feel safe, collaborating is the best method, asking for help is part of it. Move toward the light energy.
The first step toward happiness is the hardest.
I just can't make it.
"Can't can't do anything." that's what my dad used to say. Throw out the word "can't" from your reality. "If you think you can't or you think you can, either way you're mostly right." Thought life is really important.
If things aren't going well, it's an indication to do or try something else, that's all. You came into this world with specific preferences & ones that developed over your whole life. You prefer things for a reason. Start off appreciating things you really enjoy/prefer & concentrate on those with your thoughts. Sometimes our thoughts are too global/huge, too much in the future or too far back in the past. Then those become part of today's experience unnecessarily. Get specific and positive with where you are right now.
Sometimes I have to start really basic "This bed is so soft and feels so comfy against my hips. or.... I like the way the sun feels on my face right now." then move on to other thoughts of things you really enjoy-- specific sights, sounds, smells, easy things.... then the better feelings come. I'm more visual, so I look for simple things I enjoy (clouds in the sky, art, photos, my cat, a well-written idea/passage, watching nature/other beings just BE at peace with themselves), then things I love to hear (a favorite song, stillness/quiet, sounds of children laughing, etc.), then as you appreciate your specific world, inspiration and new ideas come to you. They're always flowing towards you, but we all block them with negative thoughts & emotions sometimes. Then it can seem as if we're permanently blocked & depression sets in or physical illness.
Our world is vibrational. If your vibration is disappointment/despair, it's up to you to change it. Anger is better than despair so if you're in despair, find your anger, then work all the way through it until you can appreciate being tired of anger, then sleep. Reach for better thoughts the moment you awaken and keep thinking the encouraging ones. Flow with life, don't resist, then inspiration can come easier also. Negative emotions are indicators you're at odds with who you really are (expansion is needed).
When all else fails, sometimes you just hang on until that day is over and then try to create a different reality for yourself the following day. You are creating it, so create a good one... a good thought becomes a good day, a good day then rolls into a good week, then you're living/creating a better life for yourself. But if you grab hold of anything bad (thought, memory, experience) and hang on to it, it can spoil a whole year before you know it. The very moment you notice anything good to you (an elderly person smile at you, a bird flying in the sky....anything at all) grab hold of that and think on it, make note of it, take a mental picture, bask in its goodness & let it bring your joy... talk about it, laugh about it, make those things your world. Then before you know it, everything is going much better for you, specifically, just the way you prefer it.
Throw out any inner statements like "I just can't make it." because, well.... because that statement sucks!!! & isn't worth thinking, typing or contemplating. What "it" can you make? Go make that!
And when all else fails, find someone who needs you and help them. You'll feel instantly better, I promise.

Grass is always greener (literally here). Depends on what your goals are though. Can't really compare FL with NYC. I have a lot of friends here from NYC who see Florida as paradise, and a lot of Florida friends who move to NYC to launch careers. So it just depends what you are after I suppose. Florida is a big state, you can't label the entire state as "sucks" based on a few years in one place. But, having said all that, it is unique and probably not an easy place to get used to if you are not from here.

you're right, it is beautiful. wish I was there, seriously. never been to Ginnie Spgs... wow

I love New York, I do. And I would love to live there for a couple years just to experience it. But to say "florida sucks" and "New York" is better, truly is comparing apples (pun intended) and oranges (also pun intended) .
Glad to be of service on ideas for visiting Florida.
Re: Random T**ugh,s
she might have been referring to people/neighbors, crime, economy, creative pulse, job market/opportunities, # of bad hair days, etc., idk... & living somewhere is not the same as visiting
FL is beautiful to visit, oppressing to live imo (nothing personal against floridaorange tho)
Re: Random T**ugh,s
^you can feel that way living anywhere. it's purely perception. some places are of course better than others, but Florida doesnt belong on any "bad places to live" list imho.
Re: Random T**ugh,s
perception & experience I'd say
or....... your perception of your experience :D and.... people & places do change

FB profile pic needs to be changed once a year, no? unless you're trying to share something specific with someone or take a stand of some sort. idk, it all bugs me at times. don't know when I'll put mine back up.

Yeah,it's ridiculous. People change their profile picture for various reasons, like we change avatar here.
