I don't bring this up because I think there is any racial component to it (which is what they're discussing in this clip -- I just couldn't find a better video anywhere). I bring it up because it is just utterly, comically pathetic. A comment probably intended to make Bachmann seem more "in touch" with urban culture instead highlights in painful detail just how dreadfully out of touch Bachmann is. She couldn't have sounded less "urban" on a dare.

It honestly felt like an SNL skit. Totally made me cringe.

Should the RNC be reaching out to the black community? Of course. Should it do it by having impossibly white people speak in ebonics? Uh, no.

White people and all people should just be themselves. I cringe too when I see them trying to be cool or hip to black people. Even more important, that isn't the right setting to do that. Even someone like Eminem shouldn't talk like that in a formal setting.

The Republicans really are a joke right now. Jindal sucks as a speaker and comes off as condescending. And the answer to Obama from the Republicans is Steele. Just like Palin was the answer to Clinton. And John Boehner looks like he strangles puppies for fun. And don't forget the de facto leader in Rush. What a terrible cast of characters they have in that party.
