The largest voter mobilization in American history. The facts don't get any more clear than this. I believe this is the final number.

You're right -- unfortunately, what is clear is that America is comprised of idiots.

Let's see if he can do as good a job of uniting the country as last time.

ha ha ha ha

A backwards president from the bible-belt cannot unite a modern country.

Good point crow, that's hard to explain to these people. They point fingers at Europe and talk about how 'liberal' they are and forget that compared to most of the countries over there we are a relatively young nation. That is the direction we're headed especially with globalization occurring at a break-neck pace. Get used to it folks, what is liberal today will be conservative tomorrow. I consider myself slightly left of center right now but I can tell you that my position may change sometime in the future, who knows? We are a constantly evolving species/civilization and to deny or try to suppress that makes you ignorant.

No one can acheive unity here in America.

I believe no one can achieve unity in a true democracy. After all, it's the point of democracy, to provide differences, isn't it?

I seriously hope noone does that. I think in many views Europe is a lot more conservative than the US and almost in every European country right and far right political parties are getting stronger and stronger which is definitely not a very good sign for "liberalism".

As for Bush, at least this time he was elected properly and if we look on the bright side he won't be able to be the president for more than 4 years.
