Palestinian teenager tied to Israeli police vehicule
Re: Palestinian teenager tied to Israeli police vehicule
something doesnt seem right here, the article doesnt seem to match whats going on in the picture
Re: Palestinian teenager tied to Israeli police vehicule
suckass if it's true.
Re: Palestinian teenager tied to Israeli police vehicule
im not saying its not true, and not condoning it by any means but... the kid looks more like he was put in "time out" sitting there with his hands folded, the photo doesnt really match whats being said that's all
Re: Palestinian teenager tied to Israeli police vehicule
nah, i'm just saying that i don't know if it's true or not given media propaganda on both sides.
Re: Palestinian teenager tied to Israeli police vehicule
He looks pretty unhappy :(

ahh, gotcha.. yeah i agree, and i guess that reason for my post
I know he looks unhappy, but we are all unhappy when we are caught doing shit we aren't supposed to.. I'm just saying he looks more like a kid that got in trouble than a kid scared for his life
Re: Palestinian teenager tied to Israeli police vehicule
You know what actually doesn't look right? it is that he doesn't look palestinian to me . Of course I am only getting that from the stuff I have been watching lately and could be totally wrong.
Re: Palestinian teenager tied to Israeli police vehicule
This picture and article are years old - they've certainly been doing the rounds for a while - certainly from the text I would hazard a guess and put it somewhere between '03 and '05.
I certainly don't know, nor can tell from the picture and article, whether or not this child was used as a human shield or not - but what is clear is that he is clearly restrained via the his bicep to the screen - although his hands are not tied (and I must admit, this is the first time i have seen an image of some-one detained by the border police who was not handcuffed).
Didi, as for 'not looking' Palestinian? What does a Palestinian look like? Might sound like a sarcastic question, but in reality most Palestinians migrated to 'Palestine' in the later part of 19th Century originating from either Egypt and Syria - in which case this child does 'looks' Palestinian.
Re: Palestinian teenager tied to Israeli police vehicule
yeah this apparently happened back around April 2004.

Not a bad guess then!
Re: Palestinian teenager tied to Israeli police vehicule
I got this pic in my inbox few days ago, I am not sure of the date coz its unreadable. I asked the date to the person who sent me this pic and he said it is possible the pic might have been taken during the first intifada of 2004...
Re: Palestinian teenager tied to Israeli police vehicule
Shiva
The first Intifada actually took place in the late eighties - which led directly to the Oslo accords.
By 2004 the second intifada was coming to an end, mainly due to the construction of the security barrier - this picture was taken at a protest to that barrier.
