Well the USA has just bombed another country today and almost nobody even knows about it. Pakistan was hit today by USA missiles.

Oh the change with Obama is such a crock of shit

Re: The Silent War- Pakistan

what are you talking about starting drivel?? Are you retarded this is on Obama's watch that he ordered missile strikes in Pakistan. Now this is the third war now. I'm just bringing it to your attention you don't have to hate me hate your leadership on foreign affairs for bombing a country that has WMD's and is extremely radical.

Now who sounds like drivel?

Judge for yourself if this sounds familiar?

Actually, still you. These strikes have been going on since August; this isn't a new tactic, and Obama didn't start a new war, which, by the way, is why the GOP's mock outrage about Obama's naivity for suggesting strikes in northern Pakistan was so disingenuous.

Re: The Silent War- Pakistan

actually it isn't me its you Obama lovers. Obama has just escalated and further strained relations with Pakistan. I'm surprised you are so reluctant to judge the savior.

He just BOMBED a nation that has WMD's which has caused further strain between the two nations.

You would do well to read before you type. This strike today makes over 30 strikes since August 2008. Why you think that this one is going to piss them off more than the other few dozen strikes, I'm not sure.

And FFS, it's not as if we sent cruise missiles into Karachi or Islamabad or something. This region is in the northern part of Pakistan that, while within its borders, is not controlled by the Pakistani government.

Are they happy we're sending missiles in there? Of course not. This is hardly a new reason for Pakistan to get pissed off, though, and the suggestion that this marks some sort of turning point in our relationship with Pakistan is just nonsense.

Were you fired up when Bush was sending these drones in?

Re: The Silent War- Pakistan

Hell yes I was fired up when Bush did it. You guys already have bitten off way more than you can chew. Then you guys are going to ask Canada to come for the ride and it is bullshit. He could have stopped the attacks into Pakistan not order them and not talk about it. That is why everyone hated Bush.

By the way it is a crime to attack another sovereign nation without permission of congress as well. He is just as bad as Bush IMO right now other than Gitmo (but the jury is still out on that one). Also why does it take a year to to close a jail when you can take over Iraq in a couple weeks??

Well, because you don't just turn off the lights and open the doors. We've got to figure out something to do with these folks.
wow runningman. you're reaching bro.
^^this. I don't even know where to begin. Suffice it to say, though, that based upon your earlier posts, I'm skeptical that you were even aware of the other Northern Pakistan strikes that you purport to have been "fired up" about up until a few minutes ago.

Re: The Silent War- Pakistan

ok gents if thats how you guys feel. I must admit there are some really smart people on here. Hell lets fight six wars at once.. why not you can afford it.

by the way you can turn the lights off whenever you want. You send them back where they came from or stick them in the general population in all the different US jails you have. What is the difference?

Re: The Silent War- Pakistan

Obama said during his campaign that he would strike the terrorists in Pakistan. From what I read in the article, the drones attacked Taliban members and their homes. It's not as if we're attacking innocent children and highly populated areas. So this attack should be no surprise.

Re: The Silent War- Pakistan

not to mention that there is ground intelligence that proves without a shadow of a doubt where bin laden is hiding. that is the very reason that the US had a falling out with Musharraf because he did everything in his power to ensure he didn't attack Bin Laden in the Northwest and that is the reason he ended up being ousted and they had re-elections in the hopes the new President would be more supportive of the war on terror.

What happens next? the Bombay Terrorist attack. Awesome! And the President admits terrorist elements from his state were responsible. Awesome sovereign state.

If it wasn't for the US we would've marched into Pakistan after that event.

I'm glad these bombings continue and should continue mercilessly. I am pro Israel for what they are doing to protect themselves and I am absolutely pro US for bombing the shit out of that region to rid the earth of people who have nothing better to do than plot to kill innocent people. They are the human equivalent of the HIV strain infecting unsuspecting innocent people with their ridiculous ideologies and breeding on to kill even more.

Re: The Silent War- Pakistan

The area they bombed is decribed as follows:

Wana, a known Taliban and Al Qaeda hub, is also the main stomping ground of Maulvi Nazir, a key Taliban commander accused by the United States of recruiting and sending fighters to Afghanistan to attack US and NATO forces.
