Re: Our New President
I'm pretty excited to see how Obama will go about making all the changes he has been talking about. I believe that he will do everything within his power to lift our economy up and bring our troops home... he has made that a priority.
What is your take on Obama....
Have you taken a look at the 'stimulus' bill? It's not stimulus; it's pork. The money is going to liberal constituencies in order to strengthen their base and to make government bigger and stronger. Not to make the economy stronger. Instead of lowering taxes and putting money in the pockets of entrepreneurs and small business, it's going into the vast troughs of new FDR type policies.
One of his first moves was to lift the ban on federal funded abortions. A disgrace.
And does this sound like change?:

Barack Obama has said he wants to delay the long-awaited switch to digital television, and he is likely to get his way. There were a great many reasons to oppose the transition to begin with, but why slow things down now that it is underway?

The beneficiary happens to be the company where Obama's undisclosed advisor on this and other telecom issues (also a major donor) makes his living.
