the masses of people here arnt the problem, its the fucking media, shamless commercialism, corps. etc etc etc.

ya its all fucked up, but i can endure this shit and handle it. it's better than nothing.

look at the satellite image at night of north korea. lmao.
Yeah as I said I will endure I am good with the current system i.e. if I had selfish ambitions I would be a very happy man...but sometimes it just a little too much for me to bear all the stupidity and unfairness of the world. I honestly think the difference between a total war and the current system for many would be a difference in shades of black.
As for you Miro...No, what I am saying is that I would welcome you and your friends to try and come to do all the things you dream of doing :) Then you would be introduced to some things I keep in the closet in the "just in case" box...
Glad to hear it. I had been having serious doubts about your sanity.

So what if society is not perfect? That's not the point. There was never a perfect government, a perfect societal structure, or a perfect economic system. And there never will be. People are not perfect.

But my point is that you are fortunate enough to have many basic freedoms and rights and they are always worth defending. Do not take them for granted. Not everyone has them.
Yeah, but its not about nations anymore. Its all about companies. I think that national sovereignty has been slowly but surely eroded during the past 60 years or so...if you look at the way nations compete world wide with best tax breaks lowest minimum wage etc you see what I mean. Corporations, bankers have a huge influence on national governments. It is essentially they who decide on issues such as war etc...not directly of course but through their influence on key pillars of government and through media influence on the nation.
Globalization has interlinked the world economically, but of course nations still matter. Look at what happened between Russia and Georgia recently, and the tensions that are growing due to US-led missile defense system. Look at what Iran is doing as it gains nuclear missile capability and threatens other nations in its region. Furthermore, look at the potential for terrorist entities not directly tied to any one nation to cause massive damage around the world.

I think you are way too optimistic about people. The drivers for war are ultimately rooted in human nature, and human nature does not change. If anything, we are at increasingly greater risk because technology continues to grow exponentially while human nature and prudence has not improved one bit since the beginning of mankind. Today, one individual can have the power to press a button and cause devastation that used to be impossible even for armies of thousands. I think you will be in for a big surprise.

Re: Would it bother you if your Army was on your own Soil??

You have a point about at least being grateful for what i do have...that is true and yes perhaps I am too optimistic about mankind in general after all-all information is readily available if ppl were only interested and active rather than being lazy and content in their own pile of shit.

As for your points on nations...you slightly contradict yourself. Terrorism is an example in addition to the one I mentioned before of nations becoming less important in international relations. However I find it difficult to say that nations that produce terrorists should not be held responsible for the actions of their citizens i.e. if a nation is not capable of educating its population and keep it under wraps it should be replaced with one that will be able to that. What I mean to say is that even though I am against military intervention on foreign soil I can see the logic of doing so under the current system. Although on the other hand who knows where these terrorists really come from and who funds them...all the information is kept under such strict control that its impossible to tell for a fact. I have even contemplated on the idea of the west funding the terrorists for their own aims...who knows what the truth is.

As for the tension between Georgia and Russia that was a fairly predictable outcome...I mentioned that as a possibility in the near future about a year ago when Kosovo became independent. People assume that Putin and Russia as a whole are any different to the west which is untrue...his aims and the aims of those who control Russia might be different or mutually exclusive to the aims the US has but that does not make them different. If you read some books about Russian politics you will realize that Putin is just a "businessman" with a strong backing from other "businessman" in Russia just as all (or most) American presidents. Therefore they have similar interests of economic cooperation.

As for the issue of one little man pressing a button...the man who I was worried most about pressing that little button has just left the oval office so I can sleep better now. The rest...who can tell its far too unpredictable...btw buying a nuclear warhead was easiest during the Yeltsin years when according to research I read back then you could buy one for around 200k US dollars so again if nothing like that happened then I am inclined to believe that nothing will any time soon.
