seriously. I look at Bush, with his approval rating in the 20s, and Palin with her multiple shortcomings, both of whom have become punchlines to most, and I just wonder if they go home at night after the cameras are off, shake their heads, and wonder how it all went so horribly wrong...

Do they know?[/quote] I kinda have this impression that both of them are so wrapped up in their own delusions and egoism that they have no sense of reality.

For instance, Sarah Palin has probably convinced herself that she did great in the campaign and that the rest of us plebians all across the nation are now kicking ourselved for not just directly making her President over either of the candidates. Thus, she will be back in four years to save us from ourselves and assume her rightfully destined glory.

After all, she is God's messenger; God wants this for her. Just like God wanted us to invade Iraq.

Think this sounds ridiculous? Think I'm exaggerating?
