I remember Al Franken once referring to the show as being a "thin veneer" of morning friendliness "covering the dark underbelly of Fox's politics". I like that line.

I've never seen a cable news program be so unabashedly biased. They react to unpositive critiques of McCain the way i reacted to "yo' mama" jokes in middle school.

i think morning joe is pretty decent, but I don't watch either. fox & friends is geared to a specific market, and you're just not within that scope. kilmeade is a decent host but that doocy guy acts like such a woman.

I don't know why progressive figures continue to treat Fox like it's a legitimate news source that is interested in hearing both sides of a story. On the one hand, I totally sympathize with Schultz, especially because this is hardly the first time he's butted heads with Fox. On the other hand, what exactly did he think was going to happen? Fox has progressives on its programming for the sole purpose of making a big production of dressing them down. For evidence of this at work, watch any episode, at random, of [B]HANNITY [/B]& colmes.

That's true, but I think in Big Eddie's case, he feels the facts are on his side and is basically too proud to refuse an invitation. He doesn't want to leave himself open to being called chicken to face the tough questions or whatev. O'Reilly pulls that shit all the time.
