Re: lol @ mccain and obama
They were actually both very funny last night, although McCain probably more so. It does highlight, I think, that at the end of the day, these guys are professionals, and mudslinging aside, they are capable of stepping outside of the process and actually enjoying one another's presence.
Re: lol @ mccain and obama
you should have seen them gush over mccain's speech on fox n friends this morning. one would have thought it was kathy griffin performing in greenwich village if you were to believe them. in reality, mccain was flat, bad timing, poorly delivered punchlines - exactly what you'd expect from that one.

i just watched obama's, about to watch mccain. i thought obama was pretty damn funny and i agree with your post
Re: lol @ mccain and obama
just finished watching these and was just coming here to post them. very refreshing to hear these guys joke about each other and politics. some great zingers from both sides. Loved McCain's digs at Hillary & Bill. Especially liked the nice words each candidate had for the other towards the end of their speech. These two speeches couldn't have come at a better time, as i have been getting pretty tired of both of their campaigns.
Re: lol @ mccain and obama
i just finished mccain's roast too and i actually thought obama was a bit funnier.
i do wonder if these guys got along at all before the elections or if they even hung out, had a beer, smoked a fat one?
Re: lol @ mccain and obama
I was just talking to someone at the office here, and he described it as similar to the handshake line at the end of a playoff series in the NHL, only in the middle of the campaign. Leave it all on the ice, but when it's all said and done, be kind to one another and acknowledge a job well done. Good analogy, IMO.
