Remember Mark Foley, the Republican congressman who resigned amidst revelations that he was sending sexually explicit messages to male congressional pages?

Must be something about that seat, because his successor also finds himself wrapped in scandal:

with ya her james, seems the last half decade have seen nothing but scandals in the sexual theme coming from the moral right, and half of em are either gay sex and child crimes. while both parties do this non stop, the democrat ones tend to be more fraudualent, but the right, simply vile shit, at least to thier standards anyway.

I guess Mahoney only has to explain to his wife that he's cheating as opposed to cheating AND gay, which is more than most in the GOP can say of late. For a party that purports to hate gay people so much, it sure does have a lot of closeted gay people in it. I actually just heard that Karl Rove's father was gay, which totally blew me away.
