Re: haha sarah found out.
yea i dislike anyone who thinks a rape victim should have to endure 9 months of pregnancy to only birth a completely unwanted and unwarranted child.
she's a stupid cunt. i hope a moose runs her over.

that's been a proven myth. the rape victim stuff, not her being a stupid cunt.
Re: haha sarah found out.
well she had 4 years in office to change it and she didn't.
Re: haha sarah found out.
and more...
It is a fact that under Sarah Palin's administration, Wasilla cut funds that had previously paid for the medical exams and began charging victims or their health insurers the $500 to $1200 fees. Although Palin spokeswoman Maria Comella wrote USA Today that the GOP vice presidential nominee "does not believe, nor has she ever believed, that rape victims should have to pay for an evidence-gathering test...To suggest otherwise is a deliberate misrepresentation of her commitment to supporting victims and bringing violent criminals to justice," the evidence from Wasilla's budget records says otherwise.
i can keep going if you want me to.
Re: haha sarah found out.
chloe, i think there's a difference between an rape-examination and emergency contraceptives. unless i'm mistaken and the former includes the latter.

Re: haha sarah found out.
but anyway. this thread is about her being a big fat liar.
Re: haha sarah found out.

er i know. i googled your the post above and read it.
there's a difference between emergency contraceptives to prevent pregnancy and a foresnsic rape examination to collect crime-scene evidence in accordance with conducting an investigation and pursuing a prosecution of the perp.
your first comment went to, presumably, the emergency contraception bit (which i said, or at least have heard, has now been debunked in favor of palin). your second comment went to something completely different; Palin sliding funds away from payment of forensic rape examinations, which appears to be what's happened on the budget, but am cautious to say that the city wouldn't compensate the victim (most places have such provisions, and its difficult to discern, without more, whether Wasilla is included). Still though, forensic rape examinations do not result in '9 months of unwanted pregnancy'. They result in justice.
Like i said, if the forensic rape kits involve emergency contraceptoin, I'd freely admit that I'm wrong. And hearing how fundamentalist that city is, I'm guessing that some women wouldn't even pursue emergency contraception incident to a sexual assault.
A drop in a barrell of water does not sway anyone, but they do add up.
one last thought: if in fact she tried to ban emergency contraceptives, she'd be some of the few christians who are actually consistent with thier belief at where life 'begins'. i find irony in this as most christians have this 'rape-exceptoin'. At least Palin stands up for the rape babies. (stealing an old Andy Andrist line there...)
btw, come to this forum more often. plz :) :) :) untz untz
Re: haha sarah found out.
let me see if i get this right, they said she abused her powers but she didnt break any laws?
lol wat?
Re: haha sarah found out.
fact of the matter is, Palin is about as far to the right conservative you are ever going to get.
if mccain/palin get elected, consider roe v. wade overturned. that WILL happen. both of them are totally against abortion in any shape and/or fashion.

oh yeah, and I don't think we have anything more to worry about. between the absurdity that is sarah palin, and mac's supporters showing their true hatefully ignorant and oblivious racist selves this week, this election's over.

Is she going to jail? I don't think so. Did she stay within the bounds of her legal obligations? Doesn't look like it.

^ i went to the game last night. the only people who weren't saying anything in my section were this couple who looked like they had just finished golfing (ie, not wearing any flyers OR rangers colours) and while everyone in my section boo'd, they just sat silent. i knew instantly that they were repubicans. they left at the end of the 2nd period too, when the flyers were rallying back.

all the reports I've heard have been from sources like HuffPost, am curious to get an unbiased report -- what was the boo to cheer ratio?
Re: haha sarah found out.
^ it was about 60/40 in favor to booing. At first all you heard were boos. and then slowly peopel started to cheer.
I'm not sure what relationship there is between the excitement of starting the flyers season with the drop of the first puck, and whether palin added to it. the flyers had a really sucessful year last year, and there's been a lot of excitement about the team. i get the feeling that if palin had no relationship to hockey, it would have been really hostile atmosphere. i think that a political candidate had been involved in the sport might have made a difference to the crowd.
i found out a bit ago that the owner of the flyers is a major donor to the mccain/palin campaign. palin had also been seen wearing a rangers jersey around the city as well. i can't think of any other reason why she'd be there.
was i wrong? i stated the facts?
Where's your appreciation for the facts when it comes to a non-right winger?
You know, Obama didn't break any laws in associating with Ayers on that non-profit board. Yet you're ready to crucify him for it.
I'm not saying this to argue that Obama is great. I'm just calling for some level fair consistency. If that whole Ayers business says something about his character, than a rational person might conclude that this says something about Sarah's.

sure so lets get the same consistency from the media, right?
sure so lets get the same consistency from the media, right?
Again...would it even make any difference to you? I'm not going to defend the media. You can't control the media for fairness and consistency. You could, however, at least try to control your own perceptions for some semblance of fairness and consistency.

heres fairness: that douchebag cop deserved to be fired, palin didnt break any laws, there is no punishment.
obama: the allegations that he was friends (of course hes not anymore as it isnt beneficial to him anymore) with wright, ayers, rezko, or that he went to iraq and told them to not make any deal until he becomes president are all real. they are all scums who have been influential in his life. all those, need to be in jail, including obama (for trying to negotiate something in the nations name when he had/has no power)

Once again, you chose to just stick your fingers in your ears and yell "BLAH BLAH BLAH" rather than playing with the rest of us in the reality-based world. It is true that Palin probably won't see any punishment for this, but the claim that she didn't break any laws and the accompanying suggestion that she did nothing wrong at all is just demonstrably false. The report found that she abused her power in violation of 39.52.110(a) of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act. Not sure how much more black and white you can make it.

not going to rehash the whole ayers, rezko, wright thing with you for the umpteenth time, but your claim that Obama told anyone in Iraq not to deal is new and, like most of what you say, deserves to be debunked:
BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) – Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama did not urge Iraqi officials to delay a decision on a security agreement with the United States, Iraq's foreign minister told CNN on Sunday.
The statement by Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari refutes a recent published report and a statement by Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin that Obama tried to influence Iraqi politicians negotiating with the United States to score political points.
Obama "never, ever discouraged us not to sign the agreement," Zebari said. "I think this was misrepresented, and I have clarified this case in a number of interviews back in the United States recently."
The truth. Look into it.
Re: haha sarah found out.
What I find hilarious is the extent and force that they pursued getting this guy fired, as if he was the devil himself. How fucking amateur. She might not have 'broken any laws', but she looks like she almost went as far as calling up the wasilla mafia for this.
I'll expand on this in a moment if I have to. Likely, I'll also have to also address that which is besides the point being made.

We all know that if it had been a Democrat who had fired that "douchebag cop" in the exact same way, you'd be typing up posts complaining about big government overstepping its bounds, about how criminal anything with a "D" is, blah blah...
And I agree with you that some of Obama's connections have been questionable and unfortunate...but you NEVER even so much as hint at any of McCain's questionable connections.
Republican = always good. Democrat = always bad. I can predict with 100% accuracy what you'll say before I even read it.
I suppose it's convenient to see the world like that. None of that bothersome independent critical thinking required (just like the Obama zombies).
Re: haha sarah found out.
You know the funny thing about this? It doesn't matter. When Palin was first announced as the running mate, this was supposed to be a big deal. Since then, she's given us so many other reasons to conclude that she's not fit to be VP, I don't think this even makes the short list.

Re: haha sarah found out.
2. why isnt there an investigation into obama's support of rezko? he wrote letter supporting his projects that were out of his district. that ensured that rezko got the bids he was looking for.
Go to any fact-checking site and run a search on Rezko. Fact is, there have been lots of investigations into this, and not a one has turned up anything worth getting excited about. The fact that you evidently can't let it drop doesn't imbue the "story" with any sort of heightened relevance.
Even Obama has called his association with Rezko "boneheaded," but it doesn't follow that there's anything more here than has already been reported. It's all pretty much out there, and I suspect that you're less interested in fact-gathering and more interested in slandering Obama by raising the question...
Re: haha sarah found out.
^^ Don't try to get all technical with any "facts". It's Obama; he's a DEMOCRAT. That's how we know that he must be guilty.
