Re: Campbell Brown
are you kidding me? I want to get started...but I just don't have the energy. Really?
I'll boil it down to this; it doesn't matter if he's black, or arab.
it DOES matter if he's a muslim. Because, if it doesn't matter, than Sarah Palin's moon-bat psycho beliefs in religion should not matter either. But they do, and so it follows that if he was a muslim (which he clearly isn't) it would matter.
I should not have to articulate 'why', but if I need to connect dots, I do not hesitate in rehashing what I've said many times before.
Would it be relevant that a candidate was a part of a militant sect of islamic extremists? Of course.
Does the fact that someone is muslim disqualify him or her from higher office, though? I don't see anywhere in the Constitution that says that it does. The fact of the matter is that of the nearly 2 billion people on this planet that practice islam, the overwhelming majority do so peacefully. Keith Ellison, who is a Congressman from Minnesota, is an openly practicing muslim man who took the oath of office on the Qur'an. Being a muslim, without more, doesn't mean shit, and she's absolutely correct to point out that using "muslim" as a slur ought to be an insult to the overwhelming number of Muslim-Americans that don't want to see us get bombed by islamic extremists any more than the rest of us.
