mccain's supposed stop to his campaign to rush and save an economy who he termed "economically sound" just a week prior, did absolutely nothing to help pass, even if it did pass the first time, that bill.

its also funny how mccain was all for DEregulation his whole career so he could buy more houses but once the economy goes to shit because of it... he is all for regulation. makes perfect sense to me...

I think that's [I]exactly[/I] what racism entails... I personally did not see your jokes but you seem a little confused here about the definition of racism.

My grandmother doesn't think it's racist when she talks about how all the Mexicans in our town are illegal aliens and work as gardeners... but it absolutely is. I just put up with it because she's an old-timer and set in her ways. You however are a product of the modern age and ought to know better. Racial tensions divide people who could otherwise be collaborating to advance civilization and improve the human condition.

Telling racial jokes, no matter how exaggerated or absurd, reinforces pre-existing racial tensions in the minds of uneducated listeners. When you talk about comedians, who do you mean, Carlos Mencia? Absolutely not funny. Jokers who think they are doing a public service by bringing racism into the spotlight are tragically doing nothing but making things worse, because 80% of their audience has no idea that they are satirizing racism, they think it's [I]actually[/I] funny. There are plenty of hilarious comedians who would never dream of stooping to race jokes.

I know I'm kinda coming out of left field here, but this thread caught my interest and I had to put my two cents in... I'll be sure to weigh in on the campaign tactics in the near future.

first off they are jokes based on stereotypes not making fun of someone's race. second, humor entails making fun of people regardless of who or that they are. third, you're probably one of those people trying to get southpark banned, arent you?
