What will Bush Do to help McCain??

So anyone brave enough to guess what Bush will do to help McCain win this election?? It is obvious that Obama is running away from McCain especially about the financial crisis. Something has to happen to even give McCain a shot.

So Which will it be?

  1. Claim Osama Bin Laden dead (even though we all know he is dead already)
  2. Attack Iran? Maybe you never know
  3. Cancel elections because he knows McCain can't win
  4. Rig the elections so McCain wins?
  5. Another Terrorists attack in the US

I don't expect to many answers here in this thread most people are affraid to predict the future

Re: What will Bush Do to help McCain??

i can see him attempting to stall the elections if we face a financial disaster, and forcing the sequestering of congress, i can also see a pre-emptive strike happening.

in regards to OBL, i dont think we will hear anything about him. i doubt he is dead, he has too strong of a following and too much money, he got a haircut and is living the afghan, pakistani regional mountins or possibly outside those countries, under cover.

i cant see another terror attack, and i also cant see any rigging. after the last 3 elections, i have a feeling the ACLU and thier mirror image groups from the right will be on top of everything, from the production and shipping of the machines, to the poll monitoring. both sides have too much to lose, as the left know they are in the lead witht he public and media, but the right leaning americans are vastly underrated and under-counted. they are an extremely large group who vote by the tons when they know they have to.

Re: What will Bush Do to help McCain??

Trying to stall elections is the only thing that I really foresee as an actual possibility.

An attack on Iran will NEVER happen. I really don't think anyone would be this stupid, you think the financial crisis is bad. That would be APOCALYPTIC, and anyone in their right mind would know this. In fact I'd even bet this is why it hasn't happened yet.

Iran has most of the world by the balls, and they know it. A single attack on them and they would light the entire Persian Gulf on FIRE, which they have the means and the mindset to do, and not think twice about it. And yes they have threatened this before. 17-18 million barrels of PROCESSED oil in tankers up in smoke within a matter of minutes and the worlds energy production & trade coming to a screeching halt. And you think a credit crisis is bad?

On top of that the instability that it would promote in that region would escalate and breakneck speeds. Iran is by far the most powerful country in that region and basically controls political factions in Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq just to name a few. They don't need much of an excuse to start blanketing Israel w/ rockets from Lebanon or simply roll over Saudi Arabia who they probably hate more than Israel.

Hell the reason they act so hostile towards us is because we back the Saudi's. And quite frankly I don't blame them, it's the damn Suni's who are the anarchist nut jobs that breed fundamentalist like Bin Laden, not the Shi'ite. At least their nut jobs have rhyme to their reason.

Believe me Iran doesn't need nuclear weapons to bring down the house, and they KNOW it. It would be insane to attack these people without the intent of TOTAL obliteration, so pray that it never happens, even if it is what the neo-cons want. They're still trying to hold Iran accountable for their terrorist past, which they have since grown out of over the past decade. Everyone needs to face the truth, Iran is the worlds NEW superpower wheter we like it or not.

How about all of the above? "New intelligence" surprises the US military into action in Iran. Claim Osama bin Laden reliably reported hiding somewhere in Iran and plotting a US attack. Then blow up something, like the Empire State building or Betsy Ross's house or an apple pie factory, and claim its fulfillment of this intelligence. Intercepted "communique" between Obama and Osama referring to the "imminent" attack makes national headlines. Election suspended so that Bush can remain in office indefinitely. Send in McCain strapped with an M60 hanging from a Blackhawk to "go nucular on those towelheads".

Am I missing anything?

Any form of endorsement from that man is the kiss of death. At this point, McCain is trying to distance himself as much as possible from Bush.

And regarding being "afraid to predict the future"... what's so brave about making wild guesses on things none of us have any idea about?

Respectfully, if you think that George Bush is too smart to attack Iran, let me suggest that you haven't been paying very close attention for the last 8 years. :D;) "I really don't think anyone would be this stupid" is a phrase you should never use when discussing Bush. The man's stupidity knows no bounds, and I will not rest comfortably until January 21, 2009 when that dude is physically out of the White House. His capacity to fuck things up between now and then cannot be underestimated.

The best thing Bush can do is keep his distance, you do not see McCain and Bush chummy all that much lately, bush is that albatross around McCain neck.

I understand your point, I honestly thing Bush IS stupid enough to do it if left to his own devices, but those around him would never let him do it. Bombing Iran is nothing more than hollow rhetoric, and has absolutely NO strategic value.

Facts are facts and Iran is every bit as influential as any of the other "Super Powers", considering their military and mineral resources, along with their geographic location along the Persian Gulf. Bombing them would be the equivalent of bombing China or Russia. However, it wouldn't be nuclear fallout, it would be economic fallout on a global scale.

Olmert is no fool either, he knows what position he is in and how seriously weakened Israels position is after the loss to Hesbulla, an Iranian Proxy. No way in hell he'd bring that down on his people by bombing Iran, because they can't use nukes in the region, and anything less would be pointless considering the shift in global power at the moment.

Also Iran has no need of instigating the problem with aggression because they are by far in the strongest position, they are the greatest benefactor of a stable region, no matter what fires they seem to stoke at times.

I am going to guarantee there will be another surprise before the elections. Fear has been this administrations meal of choice.
