what are the odds that toasty, last night on his b-day, was having a great time with a little bed time gift, and stopped, turned the lady away, and turned on CNN to watch the coverage?

im saying it happened by 1030PM.

Re: odds that toasty.......

Michelle Obama's speech was worth watching, might even be a better speaker than her husband. She knocked it out of the park imo. Ted Kennedy too. The pictures of Ted, JFK, Robert, Joe...all together back in the day was pretty amazing, especially knowing three of them died serving our country. Pretty cool moment.

How Nancy Pelosi is the speaker of the house, i don't know. That woman has no presence. I can't stand her.

Re: odds that toasty.......

are you shitting me.

let me sum up michelle's speech.

"i am every single cliche target audience i want to target. i have known people who would have benifited from health care improvments, im black, im a mother, some of my friends have been unemployed. thank you, vote for my husband, goodnight"

but yes, pelosi is a cunt.

and waitasec -- kennedy family gets no pity. ever. the only family grandfathered into law to get away with murder.(in the PLURAL sense)

I was thinking the same thing.

And for the record, I missed the entirety of the convention last night, although I caught the closing minutes of Michelle's speech on the car ride home from dinner. Going to miss tonight, too, as I'll be en route to Seattle. Oh well. Sounds like her speech was pretty well-received by those not wracked with soul-crushing pessimism.

Re: odds that toasty.......

the gullibility of this country created by GW is effin' amazing. i bet that if you took the speech word for word and had cindy mccain or gail barr speak it, it would be just another speech.

people are so eager to get anythign but GW's next buddy they are essentially following obama blindly, taking whatever his crew says like the wahabbists take the koran. the speech wasnt anything great. im sorry it wasnt. cliche, after cliche, after cliche. the speech was good when hillary said it, when laura said it, tipper etc..

one day in my life this coutnry's leadership might actually pull its head out of its ass.

Re: odds that toasty.......

seriously? even conservatives are looking forward to Bush's last day in office. It's been an absolute travesty to have him even as a citizen.

Even short stupid speeches by politicians wives are more meaningful as a result. All that matters is that it isn't Bush.

What I'm a little pissed about is that the Dems haven't said a goddamn word about how shit the GOP has been these last 7 years. I mean, they're losing huge oppotunities here.

perhaps i should vote for mccain? people today deserve the worst president they can get.

Re: odds that toasty.......

mccain is an idiot. if he wins be ready for america's 2104 election to be about pulling out of iraq. honestly, i cant beleive he has even 20% of the vote in polls.

Because all of the right-leaning media is focusing on Obama's problems and issues.

They know that the moment they become objective at how disastrous McCain will really be, how leftist he really is, they know it will be the end for them and the GOP. The only person on the 'right' who has stood up to McCain is Glenn Beck, who said the other night, "I can't see myself pulling the lever for McCain".

Re: odds that toasty.......

Re: odds that toasty.......

unions destroyed the system when they refused to hold themselves accountable and parents stopped any repair work when they refused to hold themselves accountable.

schools should be run like a catholic school was in 1962. they didnt let you fail. if it took beating the info into you, you at leasgt learned. wait until the generations that are in their mid to young twenties grow older. we are fooked.

I hear you Sean, have been trying to steer clear of convention stuff, but tuned in much against my better judgement. Biden was well rehearsed, everything he talked about sounded great but it is the same shite every candidate for the past twenty years since I have been able to vote has promised, yet never delivered, education, health care, forward thinking economy, taxes, etc. It is just getting harder to buy it, no matter who it is coming from today.
