Here's my take on this -- if it is important for Hillary's supporters to have the opportunity to cast a ballot for her at the convention for them to feel like the process has some legitimacy, as a symbolic gesture, then I can get behind this. Pretty much anything else is going to turn this whole process into a fucking circus and be detrimental to the greater goal. That includes basically anything that presupposes an adversarial posture, like protracted nominating speeches and seconds, roll call votes, etc.
I'm honestly not sure if they can actually cast a ballot for her in the absence of a roll call vote -- don't know how that works. I do know this, though -- if, having endorsed Obama, she allows her supporters to torpedo his efforts, she will cement her legacy, and not in a good way...
