Re: the ludacris video.....

i doubt it cost him "a shitload" of votes.

i watch a lot of news coverage, and that video didn't run the rounds very hard. i'll bet it barely made a dent. it came and went like a fart out of my ass. surprised you're just now getting to it. shosh dropped the vid in a thread last week and nobody cared about it then either. Next?

Re: the ludacris video.....

does being a douche count as a job in your town? stop being an asshole, i just saw it because i was trying to avoid teh BS. and yeah, that video, once it really makes the email rounds, will do damage.

most people will ignore it, but a lot of the " white, middle eaged, semi educated" folk wont. that is the largest population block obama has to court. and a rapper singing "we're gonna paint the white house black" isnt a positive message to anyone but ghetto folk.

so , maybe im a week late, i was on vacation. too bad jenks, we cant all be supercool hick boy on a daily basis.

Re: the ludacris video.....

wow knee jerk overreaction much? i read my post and there's nothing assholey about it.

"I'm surprised you're just getting to it" - how am i supposed to know you were on vacation, you post every day on ms? still surprised you missed the memo on it, you seem pretty clued into everything else politically available.

"Next?" - is in reference to- hey republicans: bring on the next piece of crap idea to trash obama, none of them are sticking.

the rest of the post is the truth. i don't think the vid did obama any favors, but it hardly cost him "a shitload" of votes.

take some meds and have a beer sean, sheesh.

Re: the ludacris video.....

where have you been? i am so against mccain, that's why i dont even talk about him. he already lost. no chance. if anything, the candidate i push for is barr. he is obviously the most intelligent one of the group and has far more experience than obama boy. he is teh only one with a clear explanation of how he would govern, and frankly, for my wallet and social freedoms, the most viable.

yeah, maybe one day, a republican candidate with some great qualities for a run at office will emerge, but not this year. mccain, while i beleive he is more liberal than protrayed, still is out of touch because of principles.

there was no next. just a point. sry for overreacting, but this asshole in my office has me irate today. but im firing him firday.

If this election turns on anything Ludacris has to say, this nation really needs to rethink some things. Just sayin'...

Re: the ludacris video.....

Even though Ludacris is more on par with other so called hip hop hollywood stereotype actor/singers (MOS DEF, DMX, etc.) than James Brown, Issac Hayes, or Chuck D, I think everyone just wants the election out of the way his words might have had more ressonance if this was 2004 when a democratic president in the white house was not almost a sure thing. At least of if Obama wins, they can put together a good inaguation ceramony concert and wheel out Public Enemy, George Clinton/P Funk, and of course Willie Nelson.
