i wonder how those muslim women took the apology. i'd still be pissed unless they realize it is for the greater good of his campaign. unfortunately, at that point, they would also realize how they are perceived by a lot of people in this country. quite sad.

my point is that no matter what the truth is, the question will never be out of people's minds. It'll always be lurking in the background. AM radio will never let it go. Unfortunately a lot of old people with money listen to AM radio and believe it. They'll believe it's an issue--even if it's not--simply in virtue of the fact that people are discussing it.

And of [I]course[/I] he's not Muslim. But lot's of folks just can't grasp the complexities of culture. They put everyone with certain characteristics in a bucket. And they don't change their minds easily.

so his affiliation with his church can be used to support the fact that he's not muslim, but we shouldnt make a big deal out of his scandal with his pastor? the way i see it is, ok, he is not muslim because he was part of that christian church for 20 years and he was so close to the pastor, but then it brings out some important issues. and we've also seen that as soon as the pastor and then the church became bothersome for his campaign he dismissed both. so is he a muslim but dismisses it for political gain? i mean thats what he did with his church... (on another hand, no matter how much criticism romney took, he never parted with his church). for the record i also dont think obama is muslim. i just think he is whatever suits him politically.
