Jon Stewart went on CNN's political debate show "Crossfire" and instead of promoting his new book he ripped into the hosts for being "partisan hacks" and for "hurting America." You can download the segment here:

STEWART: You know, the interesting thing... is, you have a responsibility to the public discourse, and you fail miserably. CARLSON: You need to get a job at a journalism school, I think. STEWART: You need to go to one.

...

CARLSON: OK, up next, Jon Stewart goes one on one with his fans... STEWART: You know what's interesting, though? You're as big a dick on your show as you are on any show.

To listen to it, it doesn't really sound as antagonistic as it looks like here, but it is still very interesting and entertaining. thanks for the link.

Love the Daily Show -- best fake news out there...

Re: Jon Stewart on CNN's "Crossfire"

good for Jon Stewart, it's unfortunate more people dont say what they mean. Is the show Crossfire sponsored by both parties? because all it is , is a big infomercial for the two parties and depending on what day it is or which way the political wind is blowing it's all the same B_lls__t.

From today's L.A. Times:

"Stewart continued haranguing the co-hosts during commercial breaks and 45 minutes after the show ended."

Man does Carlson sound like a pus-say or what?

"I thought that he looked ridiculous," Carlson said in an interview Monday, "and I think the tape makes that clear."

Sorry bowtie, but you got slapped around. I think we can all agree who won that debate.

I watched the Daily Show the other night after watching this vid. lmao.

He had a picture of Kerry stopping on the campaign trail to pick out pumpkins for halloween. He choose two, and then asked someone else what they thought, which one should he take? Stewart then said, "And right after he got their opinion on the pumpkin, he called France and Germany to see what their opinion was."

lmao. True.dat.

Usually Jon is very liberal, but I still think he is awesome. Him and Bill Maher are the only too liberals on television that I respect. Both hilarious, both are for all the things I am for on the liberal side, and they both make points to further their views, and not just to bash the repubz.

And their both hilarious.

Very nice links. Thank you. It's a really great relief to see someone talking about politics with a lot of common sense.

And I esp. liked the statement from the fox article:
Later, Carlson told Stewart he was "more fun" on his Comedy Central show, and Stewart called him a jerk ? although he used a more vulgar term.
Is it me or did Stewart look pretty wired in this segment? (...You got funny eyes, wink wink) Can you say dilated?

Not that there's anything wrong with that of course. 8)
