John McCain issued a promise Tuesday that may cause a bit of unrest with a broad swath of voters:

He'll veto every single beer?

In a slip of the tongue while railing against excessive earmarks at the National Small Business Summit in Washington, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee inadvertently pledged to veto the popular alcoholic beverage.
Not posting this as a slam on McCain because slips of the tongue happen, but I love the way CNN deadpanned the story.

:lol::lol::lol:

Re: John McCain Hates Beer

how is it that someone can make fun of mccains age and it be acceptable, but when someone else makes fun of obamas race its deemed unacceptable?

#1033079Post 7 of 22

Re: John McCain Hates Beer

A man's age affects his ability to run the country, a man's race doesn't.

Maybe you should read up on the civil rights movement of the 60s.

The former has an impact on his ability to fulfill the duties of president, the latter doesn't

obama is half-black first of all.

second, do you offer any proof of this?

I mean, McCain clearly has made decisions favoring everyone but those who will likely vote for him, and continue to enable the military industrial complex to flourish.

proof? lol you people seriously cant be that ignorant, can you? half-black my ass! he considers himself black (and so does everyone else). every black person out there claims injustices, persecution, segregation, etc and it's always about righting the wrongs done to their race (yes there are exceptions, but all they do is prove the rule correct). look at obama's pastor preaching against whites, obama and his wife black pride etc. yeah i'll have toasty and jenks on my ass about the preacher thing... but it's true. i dont claim to be half as smart as obama but i wouldnt go to church and listen to some shit like that for 20 years. obviously the church didnt mean enough for obama that he resigned when he found it convenient for him just how he disowned his pastor, only when he realized it was hurting his campaign. this was his preacher about whom obama claimed to be his mentor, like father, etc to him...

for the record, i dont trust mccain more to do whats right, but here is a case of choosing the lesser of 2 evils imo.

who else would i choose?

i dont listen to talk radio nor watch any of those guys. i hope they keep bringing that shit up because someone has to. i really dont understand how some people dont think what he did or who he was close with matters.

Re: John McCain Hates Beer

Bob Barr for starters. The guy would shut down McCain in a heart beat, and he's up to Obama with his oratory skills. Plus, the heart of his message is not simple rhetoric but substantive principles.

there has rarely been a third party in an election that gets wide coverage. You clearly don't believe in McCain, and are obviously only voting for him in protest over obama.

I think the LP has an excellent shot of national attention that it has been needing in the debates this year. Plus, his ideology is very close to that of Paul's anyways.

I am very much with you here. I agree Bob Barr is really good and his ideas are on par with me. It is sad though that the 2 main parties have such a monopoly over the voting system that any outsider is there to merely make themselves known or draw attention. Maybe if more people would say fuck it to both parties, they would actually have a shot. Instead, they act like me and vote for one just so the other doesnt win. Strong hypocrisy on my part.

Re: John McCain Hates Beer

oratory skills are overrated. see: bill clinton and causes for credit crisis, tech bubble, UAW destroying the big 3

i thought the UAW speech was incredibly on point. he's straight up on that. unions have destroyed the automakers.

LMAO at the clip... at least he could have made some clever/amusing comment about his slip up. he didn't even smile when everyone else giggled!
