At Last, It Is Over

I'll tell you what, for the first time during this primary season, I really feel like it is over. There have been plenty of occasions where I've felt like Obama would unquestionably come out on top, but there was always that nagging sense of doubt, coupled with Clinton perpetuating the idea that the race was still on and close.

The last couple of days, though -- really, starting with the Edwards endorsement -- have signaled a change in the discussion. Go to sites like RealClearPolitics, HuffPost, Drudge, etc., and it's tough to find any meaningful coverage of the Dem race at all. They aren't even really polling the remaining states any more, because they frankly don't matter. The focus has switched -- and dramatically so -- to Obama v. McCain & Bush. Hillary's toned down the rhetoric, too -- she finally seems to know it's over.

Anyway, even though nothing is technically decided until the convention, I'll be tipping a cold frosty one at Busch Stadium tonight in celebration of the primary season being finally, and mercifully, over.

:Cheerz:

As an aside, I love watching McCain and Bush gang up on Obama, because it highlights and underscores how aligned they are. Keep it up, guys. :p

Agreed. Until she says she's out and officially endorses Obama is when it's over.

west virginia is controlled by the most part by rednecks that wouldnt vote black if their life depended on it. and that is the freakin truth.

watch this if u need more validation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-q4MDQ0cDI

and that is the only reason hilary won in that state.

Re: At Last, It Is Over

hi. for clarification, you can't win a seven game series if you've lost four games already.

just thought i'd keep you in the know
