would he run for re-election considering his age? That would leave a wide open race again for 2012 on both the Democrat and Republican side. Unless of course he selects a up and coming Republican candidate.
Maybe I'm getting too far ahead, but any thoughts?

Health permitting, of course he would. The GOP wouldn't allow him to give up the power of incumbency. Bizarre as it may seem, I suspect that if it were an option, they'd run Bush again.
I think I just vomited in my mouth a little at that thought, by the way.

I thank god every day that this is not possible, and the republicans didn't change the constitution to allow it...
