Just got it in the mail yesterday. I've decided to change my vote to Walter F. Brown and Mary Alice Herbert of the SPF party. Anyone else vote by absentee? This is my first year not going to the polls.

Re: Just received my absentee ballot

Just got a letter from Jeb in the mail so I could signup absentee. Would like to but my poll is the church across the street- so its another excuse for being lazy. I'll wait in line for the hour or two it takes to vote.

If you're going to throw away your vote on Bush, don't even waste your time.

Re: Just received my absentee ballot

The deadline for new registration was Oct. 1st. I believe it requires submitting a voter registration form in order to get an address change, which is no longer possible.

However, I believe if you call the Supervisor of Elections in your county, ask them if you can bring in your voter registration card + drivers license and update your address. I have heard of people doing this in the past, but I know the Florida registration application has the necessary checkbox for change of address. But goodluck, I really hope you get the chance to vote Jib.

In Oregon, everyone votes by mail. Nice system. Loads of time. You can wait 'til election day to drop it off, or mail it early. Paper ballots that can be recounted.

I do miss the old days of going to the church and flirting with the little old ladies though. :WinkNSmi:

Not sure what the deadline is for requesting an absentee ballot. I had to update my voter registration and when I did I requested an absentee ballot because I don't feel like making the hour drive to the poll. Call down Hillsborough or Pinellas or whatever backwoods county you're from and ask em...or I'll do it for you (as long as you're voting for Kerry)! :D
