Don't know whether anyone here cares, but I'm pretty happy about it. :D We now have a shiny new Labor government!!

It's the biggest step forward for woman since they got the vote!! Our new deputy Prime Minister will be a woman, Julia Guillard :bow down: , and the person that beat the previous PM in his own seat [only the second ever PM to lose his own seat :D] was also a women, Maxine McKew. :bow down:

Its shocking how little coverage the election got in the States.

Ok I know you don't care. But I'm excited!! We have now signed the kyoto protocol.! One of the new ministers is an openly gay chinese born Australian woman, and she got there on merit. How good is that!! We are finally getting into the 21st century.!! We are also getting a new national fast broadband network!! :D
