Someone forwarded this to me, thought it was clever:

Dan Rather, CBS News Anchor: a.. given documents he thought were true b.. failed to thoroughly investigate the facts c.. reported documents to the American people as true to make his case d.. when confronted with the facts, apologized and launched an investigation e.. number of Americans dead: 0 f.. should be fired as CBS News Anchor

George W. Bush, President of the United States: a.. given documents he thought were true b.. failed to thoroughly investigate the facts c.. reported documents to the American people as true to make his case d.. when confronted with the facts, continued to report untruth and stonewalled an investigation e.. number of Americans dead: 1100 f.. should be given four more years as President of the United States

Just for fun, folks, don't anyone get worked up into a lather over this... :WinkNSmi:

Re: Bush Supporter Logic

yeah...Bush # Americans potentially saved....

awww, a few million....say NYC?

slightly different consequences, and w/o Bush if Rather documents were forged to perfection...perhaps more Americans lost

First of Neuro ... big Patton fan here ... so +1 for you.

Secondly ... as you stated there is difference between journalism and presidency. Liberals got to learn that the two are not the same and yet the "lies" need to stop. It is just propaganda because they really have nothing to go on ...

"In case of truth, lie" all liberals.

find me one terroism expert outside of bush's whitehouse that can link iraq to al qaida. i've looked and can't find one.

maybe we should still be balls to the wall looking for the people responsible for 9/11. then once that is complete i would be all for going to war with iraq, iran, north korea whoever. but first thing is to get osama bin laden and his network.

to find them ... go to Iraq.

so your saying W's master plan was to start a war in iraq to attract foreign terrorists who cause civil unrest in a country we promise to bring democracy to? then we can kill them? good plan. seems to be working. insurgent #'s have incresed 4x since the start of this war.

nope. all i know if you want the bad guys go to Iraq. They are there in many numbers.

Re: Bush Supporter Logic

i served in Iraq, and yes there are plenty of bad people who like to smuggle armaments to certain groups bent on destruction for the sole reason of being from a different religion, a different country or a different school of thought..

me i just try to use common sense.

You really go to ... esp in war.

#265370Post 10 of 15

There is absolutely no Iraq-Al Queda connection-even the 911 commission report says that.

Re: Bush Supporter Logic

But, Al Qaeda isn't our only enemy. Iraq was also an enemy. There are lots of terrorists organizations and hostile countries that would love to do what Al Qaeda did.

Iraq's new president admits that terrorists are coming from all over to fight the Americans in Iraq. I'd prefer the battleground in Iraq than on Ameican soil like 9/11.

Convienient.

Re: Bush Supporter Logic

I was told by a senior US general that in fact the USA is losing less soldiers being at war than if they were at peace. He seemed to think that there were less saturday night car crashes, training accidents, suicides and domestic incidents.

Not sure how true it is, but sound logical.

Re: Bush Supporter Logic

To think that we've solved any problems related to terorrism by invading Iraq is just pure bullcrap. If we wanted to pick a country to fight all the terrorists in, why didn't we just focus on Afghanistan? That's where Osama and all his buddies are! We have 150,000 soldiers in Iraq trying to play street cop against a bunch of fanatics, while Osama still gets to run around fee. Hmm, that's really fighting terrorism. It's a sick lie by the Bush administation that Iraq is about terorrism-it's not and never was. Saddam was our ememy but he had no possible way of ever harming us. Osama did attack us but he gets to run around free, why we are bogged down in Iraq. Furthermore, now Iran is building a Nuclear weapon. IRAN has been harbouring AL Queda. 10 of the 19 hijackers passed through IRAN without having their passports stamped. As far as i'm concerned that complicit help to 911. Yet we invaded Iraq. Now, we can't do anything about IRAN because we can't even control IRAQ. The invasion of IRAQ has made not only the U.S.. but the whole world much more unsafe and prone to attacks by terrorists Thank Bush .
