Hush. That's just the liberals talking. They hate freedom. Things are fine. Getting better and better every day. Bush is right. His plan is great. We just need to keep doing even more of the same for an indefinite period on of time. And then things will be just terrific. Mission accomplished!

freedom fries, anyone?

Re: Another 100 dead

The number of truck bombs and other large al-Qaeda-style attacks in Iraq have declined nearly 50% since the United States started increasing troop levels in Iraq about six months ago, according to the U.S. military command in Iraq. The high-profile attacks — generally large bombs hitting markets, mosques or other "soft" targets that produce mass casualties — have dropped to about 70 in July from a high during the past year of about 130 in March, according to the Multi-National Force — Iraq.

Apparently, whoever wrote that BS article forgot to tell the insurgents.

Quahataniya is now at almost 300 dead and may potentially end up being the worst terrorist attack on the planet since Sept. 11th.

So much for the effectiveness of this short term "surge". Stopping this kind of carnage will look more along the lines of a mandatory draft and another decade of occupation over there.

Re: Another 100 dead

maybe, but I don't think that is an efficient measure of whether the surge is working or not... bodycount that is.

Re: Another 100 dead

Speaking of bodycount: truck bombings killed 500 people and wounded hundreds more.
