Will there be any more Inspirational leaders?

When you think about the inspirational figures who lived their lives for a decent cause (whether you agree with their philosophy or not) - they have always been few and far between. But will the world at large develop anymore - or has the world become ruled by powerful money groups and/or money markets in general? More extreme causes in general.

I was thinking of Gandhi and Mother Theresa - even Winston Churchill or Gorbachov. Lech Valensa (spell?) in Poland. - They battled for their causes and appeared to have a thread of decency about them. When the Dalai Lama has gone - who is going to be left?

Its hard to see a decent person on a global front - that doesnt have some form of personal gain up their sleeves. There will always be (hopefully) small groups of people doing decent things for communities.

Re: Will there be any more Inspirational leaders?

look at what geldof and bill gates do for charity.

politcally, take a peek at dennis kuchinich, mike bloomberg, even arnold is doing well while fighting a 99% democratic state. kuch is the man, knows his shit, eager to help, the ONLY person to not vote for iraq while defending the afghan campaign, ready to socialise medicine but keep the free market moving, eager to be hippie friendly pushing things like carbon limits, MPG standards, and re-forestation.

nope, sorry, no more. that's it. the earth has reached its quota of inspirational leaders allowed for the finite period of human existence. there won't be any more of them, EVER AGAIN. :o:
