I'm glad it failed. There are plenty of laws on the books to enforce already. I hope this is a loud message to protect the border. We've been wanting our border protected for decades.You would think that would've been solved after 9/11.

Making everyone all the illegal aliens legal here or giving them chances to become citizens rewards illegal behavior. We need immigrants in this country for the workforce, but we can't survive when there are too many illegals here. A guest worker program makes more sense versus making everyone automatic citizens.

Liberals just want the illegals made citizens so they will vote democrat and turn the 2 party system into a 1 party system.

They don't want to convince independent Americans to vote their way. They'd rather just import a few million Mexicans instead.

agreed. This was bad legislation. Immigration needs to be reformed, but this was absolutely the wrong way to go about it.

This will be delayed until the next president is elected and then we will start the cycle all over again. IMO, no one has put forward a good idea for immigration reform. Of course, I'm no politician so I honestly don't have a better idea at this time either. :what

in florida panhandle, the po po roll up to construction sites and whoever runs, they chase :D. and i hear quite a few run. after they are caught, whoever doesn't have papers, they deport them. it is a start and the community boasts that it has really improved the quality of life in their area. novel idea... something is better than nothing. the bill did nothing because it failed. waste of time and money.

Something similar happens here in holland right now: left-wing parties draw votes from the minorities around here (basically by just putting everything they do under an umbrella of multiculturalism and appeasement), and anyone from those parties that has a different voice on the problems we're currently experiencing is discretely requested to shut the fuck up or get out. Incredible.

Everyone that doesn't like Islam or Moroccans is a racist, or is labeled extreme right-wing by them. You are not supposed to take a hardline stand in the immigration policy, everyone is welcome here and we should definitely sell out this country's identity whatever culture comes around the corner. Islam is the shit to them and hotter than Madonna nekkid on a stage, we should not go into Afghanistan or Iraq (I mean...we have already 8 dead-HOLY SHIT!!). Flower power was yesterday, reality is here now. Wake up treehuggers....
