Here in Texas, the TABC (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commision) won't allow bars to sell Manquin Pizz beer anymore. My favorite beer and I can't get it. Anyone wanna send me some?

I've never heard of the stuff. What is it comparable to? I personally like Fosters, Michelob Ultra and Corona (who doesn't like Corona though).

How do you know it's political? It's probably a business related issue.

Michelob definitely sucks! Fat Tire aint bad tho. Easy to find too!

See, that's where you're mistaken - there is lots of politics in beer related matters, as beer plays an important function in day-to-day lives of voters across Texas and beyond. Wouldn't be surprised if this thing makes it all the way to the state legislature. :D

So yeah I like Michelob Ultra. I tried a Fat Tire the other day. I choked down 3/4 of it and figured if I tried to drink anymore I'd puke. To each their own on tastes. If I had my choice of what to drink at noon each day it would be 3 shots of Belvedere Vodka, and a 151 and punch. Work doesn't like people showing up drunk after lunch though.

I see what you mean. But it's not beer in general that's not sold anymore, its one particular beer. This makes me think its a problem between distributors. But I can only speculate.

Is the alcohol content too high or something? Aftrer being in Germany for a couple years and seeing how easy bars have it, I have even more contempt for the TABC. They effectively destroyed late-nite nightlife in downtown Austin in the last 2 years I was living there. :evil:

But the best places were always away from 6th Street. Lala's Little Nugget over by Burnet Road was the greatest - when I went, the only things they had in the bar were Ziegenbock on tap and Shiner in a can. Total class. :D
