hey, bloomy is nothingshort of the best politician in this country. the only ones who dont like him are the teachers unions in NYC because he ripped them a new asshole, deservedly so.

I tend to hate most if not all politicians, but Bloomberg is perhaps the only one I'd actually be willing to stick my neck out for. While I haven't always agreed with everything he's done, I have no doubt in my mind that his first and only concern in doing things is for the benefit of this city and it's people and that is a rare commodity in politics. It's never been on behalf of special interests (especially since he hasn't taken a cent of campaign financing from anyone), nor has it been for political capital, as he's been more than willing to take on any politicians regardless of party affiliation.

With that said, I highly doubt the validity of this article. Bloomberg has continuously said he's not even considering running for president and I feel that it's only because of his strong affinity to NYC that got him into running for mayor in the first place. The idea of Bloomberg running for president was fabricated by the NY papers to sell copy and he's rejected them every step of the way.
