Well at least their political education is coming at them early.
Re: hamas steals mickey mouse
The Palestinian minister of media has already condemned this and the show is taken off the air. Guess it's kinda retarded to bite the hand that feeds you...

Re: hamas steals mickey mouse
at this point, if you honestly think that isreal is the "wrong do-er" in the region, while knowing about this, you sir, are a moron.
hamas and fatah, and thier constituents simply dont get it. they elect a group who is labeled by the world as a terror group, and when the outside funding dries up, they scream that they arent getting any more handouts. they watch as thier neighbors launch missles at people and then complain when isreal reacts. if they simply vowed to completely cut the shit, and stay on top of thier more rebellious people, the money and aid would come back, isreal would stop having to raid the area to find those who are bombing them weekly, and maybe, jusst maybe, after a period of time, they could simply live alongside each other and have a sort of vatican city for the united religions. it could be equally governed by all 3 major religions with ties there.
people forget, the christians have essentially kept silent in all this, but have just as much on the line in regards to religious lineage there. and the christians are the ones with the most bombs.

Re: hamas steals mickey mouse
haha...what an appaling cartoon.. i was just glad to hear that the info minister took it off air as soon as he saw it....and his comments reflected the reaction of any ordinary person confronted with this sinister program...
but i approach with healthy skepticism the fact that this like proves israel is some sort of victim......much like some here would love to believe...and advocate...
Re: hamas steals mickey mouse
malayday, you need to get your facts straight. The minister did ask them to pull it off the air, but hamas ran it the next day anyways...see: http://www.suntimes.com/news/world/383092,CST-NWS-mouse13.article
I also find it interesting how the bbc covers the story about the show and then another story about how the minister told them to take it off the air, but they never covered the fact that it aired two days later anyways :NotMe:

Re: hamas steals mickey mouse
man, that is absolutely crazy.

I only found it on the ME Times on May 10th...

No matter how many houses and civilians the Israeli tanks and bulldozers plough through and over, it doens't justify preaching hatred to children. That's only going prolonging the conflict with another generation (best case scenario).

Then the minister asks hamas to take it off and they cover that, but when Hamas runs it anyways no one has anything to say. Is that not absolute vital news in following up the story? How do you justify not covering that after you were the ones pointing it out in the first place. It just goes to show how pathetic the media really is.

How could you actually ever even discuss peace when all you've been taught is to kill? Once you've been desensitized to death through such utter disgusting brainwashing, what place does peace have. I could understand why the older people in the region are so gung-ho about the fight and killing, but shouldn't the children at least have a chance to imagine what a peaceful world could be like and if they can't isn't that just fueling the fire? :(

Re: hamas steals mickey mouse
Definitely the bigger story, but are they only allowed to report about one story per country? and that's not even getting into their responsibility to follow-up their own stories, especially when they've gone completely against what their interests are.
Re: hamas steals mickey mouse
Follow-up is like a basic rule in journalism, sad piece of that here then. And I agree that the hatred being fed to and planted in those children at such a young age is appalling...it's like the older generation just isn't prepared to work towards peace on any level and is making sure that future generations won't have a taste of it either. Not only are they the lowest of creatures by trying to prolongue such a dirty war, but the ego?sm behind refusing younger generations a normal life (or at least a chance to it) makes me sick. They're making their war someone else's.
Re: hamas steals mickey mouse
It is absolutely amazing what people will do because of a fictitious, invisible man in the sky.
Re: hamas steals mickey mouse
Ha, halarious...Reminds me of Jesus Camp. Everyone should see that movie if they have not.
GAZA CITY (AP) -- A Mickey Mouse lookalike who preached Islamic domination on a Hamas-affiliated children's television program was the victim of a pretend beating death in the show's final episode Friday.
The Mickey Mouse lookalike urged Palestinian children to fight Israel in the Hamas-affiliated kid's program.
In the final skit, the "Farfour" character was killed by an actor posing as an Israeli official trying to buy Farfour's land. At one point, the mouse called the Israeli a "terrorist."
"Farfour was martyred while defending his land," said Sara, the teen presenter. He was killed "by the killers of children," she added.
The weekly show, featuring a giant black-and-white rodent with a high-pitched voice, had attracted worldwide attention because the character urged Palestinian children to fight Israel. It was broadcast on Hamas-affiliated Al Aqsa TV.
Station officials said Friday that Farfour was taken off the air to make room for new programs. Station manager Mohammed Bilal said he did not know what would be shown instead.
Israeli officials have denounced the program, "Tomorrow's Pioneers," as incendiary and outrageous.
The program was also opposed by the state-run Palestinian Broadcasting Corp., which is controlled by Fatah, Hamas' rival.
Re: hamas steals mickey mouse
Poor brainwashed palestinian children watch this shit and then become rock throwers, terrorists, suicide bombers. They are programmed to become one by these 'programs'. I can't imagine any parent that loves his/her child would let the child watch this.
Unlike a lot of people having views on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, I spent some time in Israel, and have some of my own experience. I take a pro Israeli view of the problem, I admit. Videos like this reinforce my belief that they are the 'right' side, although some of the Israelis are just as stupid as the people behind this 'show'. Fortunately they are the minority there.
