NRA wants to back terror suspects in regards to their rights to own a gun... yeah. brilliant idea.

Big difference between being "convicted" and "suspected".
The NRA sorta has a point in my opinion. It would be one thing if they wanted to ban "proven" terrorists from having guns, but what criteria are they using for a "suspected" terrorist.
An really, if they ARE a terrorist, I doubt needing a permit would stop them from buying a gun. Just ask any thug on the street.
Re: today's right wing stupidity for the day.
Surely this would contraven the right of innocence till proven guilty?
Shame the right to free speech, etc doesn't have a lobby group like the NRA, maybe the USA would be a better place if it was.

Heard of the ACLU? Actually, if you are not from the U.S. you probably haven't. American Civil Liberties Union. They fight on behalf of free speech etc.
www.aclu.com "We must preserve the protections and the checks and balances in the Constitution against government abuses of power that violate our fundamental values."
LOL, well put, however, I would say that here in the states the ACLU actually has a lot more sway than the NRA
