Re: Debate tonight

I had no idea. I must say this election season has gotten completely out of control...no wonder nothing gets done in DC :(

Re: Debate tonight

Not going to watch. I'll wait until the actual election gets closer. Then after they've changed their stance on all the issues for the final time i'll get the last report on what they think we want them to believe in.

Right because the election is in just six months from now and time to start thinking about who will be the next President. Wait - it's not for another 18 months or year and a half. I think I'll pass then.

Re: Debate tonight

I can understand the excitement in this debate tho-

hey, i can't wait to get this fucking guy out of office either. so if a debate gets that process rolling, no matter how ridiculously early it is, i should watch it, tivo it, record the tivo'd version, broadcast it on shortwave radio, send out morris code, smoke signals, etc.

Re: Debate tonight

I did watch it and although it is way too early for anyone to really help themselves a whole lot, they do help weed out the pack when people screw up. Plus, like it or not, election season has begun, so it is what it is.

Gravel was a fucking riot -- unfortunately, his best lines didn't make the news. He seemed at once pissed off, confused and drunk. He got himself on the map, but probably didn't help his cause.

Richardson helped himself a bit, I think, the 3 front-runners all did reasonably well, but no one else really did anything to change things at all, IMO. Doesn't really matter at this point, in the absence of a train wreck.
