Re: Conservapedia
U need some help, definately
They were redistributing wealth? Vassals and nobles ring a bell? Why do you think the French revolution happened? .
Revolution happened for other reasons. In those days, you gave to the church because the church was running the hospital, the hospices, the asylums and schools. Giving to the church was a way to give to poor people.
Vassals and nobles were more statutes of the monarchy - linked to church but quite distinct institutions
And educating them? By that do you mean educating them on God and then exiling those who decided to seek rationale explanations about the cosmos and various other scientific areas..
Again, don't piss me off by taking the extremes, Christianity has some I know and I'm the first one to show them. But whether you like it or not, they were the ones building schools. Even today a lot of academic institutions are run by people like Jesuits
High school history books are plagued with christian non-sense, completely forgetting about the rest of the world who contributed to the wealth and progress of Europe...
Did I say that other religions or culture did not contribute? No fucking way, they all did, that's not even the point.
Talking about history books and bias in them is another story - I can give you an example: history books change at each presidential term in France like in a lot of countries - again, not the point
And people criticize Christianity because it continues to try and show the mechanisms of life without rationale thought. They criticize it because it breeds ignorance and only has room for a limited scope.
Again, don't take extremes - you seem young my little one. You need to understand that these movements are not one. The Christian church has a lot of different variances and I'm with you on the fact that creationism is dumb.
To be honest, I don’t get the end of your sentence here.
No, we wouldn't be sitting here without the help of multitudes of ethnically different people. And just because we are America, does not mean everything is hunky dory over here.
See above, in addition to this, European culture wouldn't be the same without Judaism or here Islam. Just calm down, look at the broader picture and stop puking nonsense.
Never said everything was nice in the US. btw, I live here too
Christianity, like any other religion, exploits individuals and devoids them of rationale thought.
Being Christian, I can tell you one thing: you're not forced to do anything and no one is exploiting me. Open the bible next time you're in a hotel room.
