This is too funny - a song to political for the Eurovision according to the Finnish organisers of this years competition.

Eurovision Song Contest organizers said Thursday they might ban this year's Israeli entry, Teapacks' Push the Button, because of what they termed its inappropriate political message.

The song, to be performed at the contest in Helsinki in May, overwhelmingly won Israel's competition Wednesday.

It is sung in English, French and Hebrew and seemingly refers indirectly to Iran's nuclear ambitions and its hard-line leader, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

"It's absolutely clear that this kind of message is not appropriate for the competition," said Kjell Ekholm, an organizer of the contest. "We'll have all the delegation leaders here in Helsinki next week, and I'm sure we'll talk about this case within the EBU [European Broadcasting Union] group."

The song warns about the dangers of nuclear war, and the lyrics of the song refer to demonic and crazy rulers, and say that he's gonna blow us up to ... kingdom come.

Ahmadinejad's recent anti-Semitic statements have added to fears in Israel that Iran's nuclear program is intended to produce weapons that could be used against that country.

The Eurovision contest will be held in Finland for the first time after the local monster band Lordi was the shock winner of the competition last year with their hard-rock entry Hard Rock Hallelujah.

One of the 18 songs that had competed to be Bulgaria's entry in the competition was dropped after it emerged that it was a copy of a song by Israeli artists Ron Shoval and Subliminal. The Bulgarian version even kept the original Hebrew-language chorus.

just curious - if iran did hypothetically nuke israel, wouldn't that destroy the lands that they want back + the holy lands that 3 major religions hold dear? so does it really make sense that he'd nuke israel?

no on eis actually stupid enough to invade that area. the major reason being that the christians have kept quiet about the fight and we have just as much on the line religiously speaking as everyone else there. and frankly, the christian lead nations of the planet far outnumber the muslim lead ones. so doing damage there only opens up tehran to beocming the next normandy beach.

sadly, because the peoples of the middle east are bred to hate the jews at all costs. when a nation approved textbook on history refers to the jews and pigs, and not human, i think people should pay attention that generations of people are being taught to undermine and eliminate jews at all costs. most ppl see beyond this, but obviously there is quite a number of those who dont. (taleban, hamas, hezzbollah, many many more)

I saw that video on TV last night, potenial winner imo. As good as the finnish entry last year.

Good question on the old nukies. i'd go with no. Although some might think it;s a price worth paying.
