two of you should pick up the recent edition of Worth magazine. america's top 100 lawyers and what/how they do it.

Re: Rubyraks/Toasty

I'm sure that'll be passing by my desk soon enough as I'm sure there are at least a few of my firm's lawyers listed ;)

Re: Rubyraks/Toasty

I'll take a look at it as well -- although I've found that some of those things are basically paid advertising. Is the list based upon something objective like income, or something more touchy-feely?

Re: Rubyraks/Toasty

its based on various factors, clients median worth, largest client worth, record, expertise in feild, impact on litigation.

Re: Rubyraks/Toasty

truth be told most of those lists are, as toasty said, in some form or another paid advertising...I work with these numerous lists on a daily basis.

and from the look of the NYers on the list, I'd say that the only field they're looking at is trusts and estates, because those names are far from America's top lawyers in general.

Re: Rubyraks/Toasty

Yeah, I haven't even heard of Brown or Varon, suggesting that they're probably not even the best lawyers in St. Louis, let alone the best in the country. Then again, if they're not litigators, that may not be so surprising...
