law, not politics, but my interest in the union exemtions always draws my attention.

seems the gov't is eyeing up another big sports union, and after hockey's debacle, the MLB juice thing, and now, arrignton seems ready to throw the NFLPA under the bus..... i wonder if the commitee is gonna go deeper with his.

Not really understanding where you're going with this, but if you're looking for an opinion on the major sports leagues' and their labor unions' exemptions from antitrust law, I've always felt it was kinda overdone. I'm sure you'd agree with me when I say let the market determine what is and what isn't fair. As long as they have this exemption, only they get to arbitrarily decide and the market is left in the dust.

Re: ben/james

im was heading into the abuse of power, and with this being the third major union exemption review int he last 4 years... i see a trend of congressional interest into the practices of them. (i got into this in school, wrote a 30 page paper on the NHL and MLB labor agreements, and have always kept an outside interest in them.) i read the last NHL agreement b4 the strike and frankly, once i put it down i realized why the owners cancelled the season.
