i don't think its so much the move left as the uncertainty. markets dont do well with political uncertainty. the possibility of gridlock in the house/senate/whitehouse sends people into a panic, and you get this lemming-style trading activity...once one jumps off the cliff, all the others follow.

no, i work with a lot of ppl in the market and their bosses all made it clear to sell sell sell today if the democrats took control. its shady, but within thier rights. we're gonna see the market fight back hard hopefully, but they are gonna hurt us before they do.

for the most part, the exchanges heavily favor a republican congress. the clinton rise of market was after they took control.

im just pissed cuase i stand to lose a lot of money today.....

things will have to rebound man, the market is not acting rationally now...that only lasts so long. especially if the dems manage to reduce the trade deficit or lower the debt.

not at all. the market has rock solid for a long time outside of the accounting scandals and tech pop.

but it is surging right now in a nice little post lunch session.

ughhh., i cant wait for this market to close, i got a lot of trading to do when i get home.

merk down 2 bucks a share, IBM down, pfizer.

utilities are way up though. as are the indices as a whole, one good thing is that governmental gridlock only allows the market to keep on moving.
