yesterday, some congressional candidate from long island had his canvassers out and they came to my door. MISTAKE

www.daveforamerica.com

i had about 15 minutes of the most fun i have had in awhile. (some of you know the events of the last weeks for me).

they start talking and hand me a pamplet that has the title ''peter king (his opponent) once said that he thanks god that george bush is our president. i think its time for peter king to wake up''

so....my motor got running at the instant site of spin spin spin... this comment was addressed in the matter that peter king said it before 9/11 when GW2 had the HIGHEST approval rating ever. (YEAH, at one point, he was about 85%). so they didnt know what to say.

i go and ask what his platform was and they respond '' he is the working american family candiate''..... i ask ''who isnt?'' again, the look of someone who was just told they are adopted.

so i let them speak and give me more fuel to throw on the fire. and it comes down to that thier candidate is opposed to bush. ok, who isnt. but i ask "so he is simply anti bush? what does that have to do our county? bush is a federal official and suffolk county isnt the federal government. he wont ever deal with bush''

so blah blah blah and i ask ''where is dave from, whats he done?'' "he served in nassau county legislature in tom suozzi's cabinet"" (now they are on to me, but they are 'intellectual collegiates', ill leave it there) me "" oh, really, isnt that the administration that bankrupted nassau county? i lived there for 22 years and he is the only person (suozzi) whose government bankrupted one of the most wealthy counties in the country''

right there. that moment of horror in thier faces, when they realized that they were about 40 miles off shore in a school of sharks.... with my roomie pissing himself in the other room..... oh god.......think the end of blair witch prodject\

these two guys were so pissed off and over their heads, maybe they should have looked at thier file and realized that i am registered republican and worked for the county expenditure board.

gun. fish. barrel. in the end, though, i was cool with them and told em i was fucking around and that they should find out what the guy they work for has actually done, and what he plans to do on issues and the steps he would take. they learned.

hopefully, i get the republican candidate tomorrow and can go apeshit.

Re: now that was fun.

oh yeah, they made sure to highlight that his dad was cuban anit castro (i.e. not a commie) and his mother was union labor proud (to shill the laborers) so i brought up how the democrats are the ones who loosened up the embargo, and they are the ones who killed the unions in the end.

Re: now that was fun.

our country needs an organization like consumer reports where it is 100% independent and void of spin for the political candidates rather than those stupid prepared debates and campaign speeches. here is a hint folks. they only tell you want they want you to know about them.

For sure. And even then they don't tell you squat.

Re: now that was fun.

word. bush's fuckup is gonna fuck up things for a long time. simply because there will be a few million morons who vote for people who simply against bush. its the dumbest thing i have ever heard. so our country will flip again, and lead to more political turmoil and appeasement. dont vote against bush, he is out anyway. vote for the candidate who will stand for your beliefs. no matter what party they are.

basically i see hillary running and maybe winning, which will be the worst mistake we could make from here on out. that cunt will divide our country so beyond what it ever has been because there will still be a lot of republicans in the houses and we all have seen what she brings to the table. yelling yelling and bitching at the other party, even when they are doing something good.

which is why our country's fucked to begin with...this happened within our generation and maybe a bit in the one before and it's even worse with the next generation. We're raising a bunch of complete morons in this society who can't think or fend for themselves when it truly comes down to things. They vote for whatever they see (or are sold on), or don't for that matter. Then have the audacity to complain when their lives are screwed because so-and-so in the political machine isn't watching out for them.

I think I just found my new signature. ;)

Dude, you are so right. Our country is full of morons especially when there is an election. I cant stand the way things are in our government today. It is an all out war between all of them.
