So what happens to this guy now after losing the primary? Stands to reason that at least some of the folks that supported him in the primary will continue to support him as an independent. Will he get enough votes from moderate republicans to hold his seat?

Or will he just fade away? Will his presence result in the seat going to the GOP?

Re: Lieberman

its a shame. he is one of the guys that intelligent people can appreciate. honest, open, fair, somewhat balanced in thought, isnt a party line monkey.

Re: Lieberman

I'm glad he's out of there, at least for the moment. Besides supporting the war, this jackhole has always been about censuring Hollywood and music, etc.

It will be interesting to see how it goes with him running as an independent, does he carry his democrat supporters, or does he split the republican vote? Prolly a little of both.

Either way his losing is a litmus test for how voters feel about the war and the initial indication is "not good."

Re: Lieberman

its a fucking shame our country is too stupid to look beyond buzz words and 2 generalizations about candidates. joe was a wonderful candidate who simply wants to make sure we dont leave a country destroyed. also, its a damn shame the people of america think about actually just walking away tomorrow. im all for getting out ASAP, but not without a functioning army, police and government. but no, we are going to see john 'i have no brain' kerry, hillary satan clinton, and john 'i have candor' mccain....

Re: Lieberman

no, just fix the place. use force, go house to house, recruit and train a military and police force. and show them that if they actually vote, they will be represented.

on both sides, pulling out now or launching a full scale offensive invasion arent the options. middle ground. middle ground my friend.

Re: Lieberman

Sean, it is a civil war, there is no "fixing" it.

Re: Lieberman

Re: Lieberman

LOL...Sore Loserman, that's cute. I was never Lieberman's biggest fan, but I sure don't like Lamont any better. Lamont had great pull from the people for his talk about pulling out of Iraq and just focusing on "the real terrorists" out there. It's like crack for people who want to vote with their emotions and not with their brains. I worry about him.
