No, they are pussies because they've had the Republicans on the ropes since before the 2004 elections and have figured out a way to botch it. Bush is the only president I'm aware of that was elected to a second term with a negative approval rating at the time of his reelection. Since then, things have gotten worse for Bush and the Republicans, yet the Democrats have been unable to capitalize on the numerous, numerous opportunities that have been laid at their doorstep.

We'll have to see what happens at mid-terms. I'm pulling for the Democrats -- not because I consider myself a democrat, but because I think the republicans have really fucked things up recently and we could use some new blood -- but it's tough to be too optimistic given their utter impotence over the last few years.

i don' t think that the dems are 'dumb'.... they just aren't willing to use fear as a means of control....and as a crutch to support failing policies.
