seriously, i will not debate the details of all the plans on immigration, but why are the immigrant activists trashing the plan that captain commando has been putting forth. if anything it is the most leinent plan from any US politican that i can see. the clique of the big democrats want to make them felons and deport them, the uber right nutbags want to boot em out too. seems GW is the only one thinking here (for the first time since 9.11) ,

if you hate his plan, and are pro immigrant, then whose plan are you for? if any that is? do you want complete amnesty for people who are here illegelly, not paying taxes and collecting our tax dollars? all the while breaking housing laws by putting multiple families in a house and even worse, procreating and abusing the social help systems of the country?

just want general opinions, please dont argue with each other for a bit.:?: :idea:

one more fact/question

if people are truly against using military to back up the border patrol, ([I]using the guard is OK legally on US soil under normal times, to use the other 3 branches we must be in state emergency or martial law), which i dont like, but i understand that the border patrol is overworked and understaffed[/I], then what should we do when mexico is actually issuing state sponsored pamplets with directions on how to cross the border illegally into the US and mexico is actively using its military to find our weak spots on the border, albeit peacefully. if mexico is openly encouraging thier citizens to come here, then what can we do to prevent it.

Honestly, this is a tough issue, and anyone who thinks it is a slam dunk with an easy answer probably isn't thinking about it very hard -- both in terms of policy and action. One of the problems with engaging the military to do this is that they're already stretched so thin and having trouble recruiting as it is. I can't imagine this will help in either respect.

Fuck Iraq. they dont want us there, they dont want to progress into the world, they want to be back in medievil times and opress themselves. let them. stay away if anything. let them fix themselves.

and our forces are stretched thin because we have sooo many in bases in peaceful areas in europe and south asia... the force in iraq is actually very small. every military pro says we should have sent in more than double what we did. like why do we have over 100K troops in europe? cant germany and poland deal with thier own shit

I hear Mexico is bad on immigrants to their country from the south such as Guatemala. If we did the same as they do, we are the bad guys.

I say we should require every immagrant to bring a bottle of tequila when crossing the border and give it to the first American they see. Hey, if you can't beat them, try to get free liquor.;)

yes there is a terrible human and civil rights problem in mexico in regards to thier illegal immigrant problem... they detain solely on the reason of being there illegally and dont givee trials, they throw you in jail on the basis of youre not a citizen and dont have citizens rights.

What shit does Germany or Poland have to deal with? Poland has one of the largest armies in the EU if I'm not mistaken.

Back op topic: if you already have about 11 million illegal aliens in the country (wtf, that's 1 million more than the total population of Belgium) I think you need to take drastic measures. Imo the worst of evils would be regularising the ones who are already in the US (for a certain time) and crack down hard on the rest.

4. on average 6000 illegal mexicans try to pass over arizona each night, this doesnt include, texas, new mexico or cali.
