^^ agreed. If it doesn't affect the bottom line, who cares what direction the toilet faces? I honestly could care less what direction my toilet faces -- except that I don't like it to face a mirror, because watching myself take a shit is kinda weird -- but if someone does care and it doesn't have any other impact, why not arrange it accordingly?

another thing i feel sorry i think is that it shows that the western nations are truly bending to islam, and frankly, at this point, we have zero reason to give any reason to show that religion is above the law, any religion for that matter, but look around, the muslims are particularly acting as if sharia is above the civil code all aorund(mercy killings, etc, the kidnapping in france) and then they act as if it is an insult and wrong when they are tried under our laws.

I see a difference. One is foisting religion upon the masses, the other is very passive. Although I've had some trips to the bathroom that I think would qualify as religious experiences, I've never given a bit of thought to which direction I'm facing when I'm taking care of business. Now that I know that some people care, I still don't care. It affects me zero. There is nothing inherently religious about a toilet.
A Bible, on the other hand, is overtly religious under any standard, and its display in a government building is much more of a recognition of the establishment of religion.

how do they keep track of which direction mecca is anyway? just blindfold them and spin them around a few times before putting them in the cell.
I'm with Sean though. I think we cater to criminals enough as is. Changing the directions in which the toliets face to avoid facing mecca is ridiculous.....If we do this ... what's next?
