I don't recall -- had he represented that [B]he[/B] looked at the deal before it was approved, or just that it had been looked at? I guess it doesn't really matter -- he's got egg on his face either way.

I wonder why Bush has such a hard-on to get this pushed through. He's getting enormous pressure from both sides, and he's threatening to [B]veto[/B] any legislation that blocks the deal? It's not like Bush had anything to do with this UAE company even ending up with responsibility over the ports. I just don't get it.

the only reason i am against the majority here is that it could have a bad effect on the market in the future. it no longer allows the US based exchanges to be a truly free market. now its a ""free unless you are a foreign based company based in a suspect region looking to buy stock in shit we hold important""" based market. you cant limit the people who buy stock to your current ally. if it were a british company this wouldnt even be looked at. and still, if someone wants to sneak a nuke on a boat we wont know until we inspect the package while it is in port.

I don't wanna play the smart ass European whiner, but that news didn't come as a shocking surprise to me. I mean hey, it's in the line of the Bush family tradition. I mean, didn't George Sr. do business with a Saoudi construction company owned by... ermmm... what was the dame of that family again? Lemme think... Ow yeah, Bin Laden!

Let's just hope that both the Democrats as the Republicans have a better candidate to run for office next election...

the only thing i say about him is, although he hasnt handled office and relations in the good sense, the american economy is back on track, and clinton is entirely to blame for that one, and he did well for himself before office. millionare, owner of a baseball team, govener, and had won the election twice. cant be all that bad in bush family.
