Here's a transcript of the toe-to-toe on "The Factor"

They both nuts but Moore makes some REALLT ridiculous claims. Check it out for yourself. BTW does ANYONE out there actually like Moore???

#226107Post 2 of 22

Yea, there are millions that like Moore, and even more that love him. I think there are at least a few on this board that would love to rub butter all over his already greasy ass if they were given the chance.

Thanks for the read, I don't agree with O'Reilly all of the time, but when I do, its almost dead on. He alway's makes me laugh though, whether I agree with him or not. He makes his guest's look like idiots, especially Moore.

I watched this last night. Kind of a waste, if you ask me -- it was two school kids going back and forth:

"Oh yeah?" "Oh YEAH?" "OH YEAH?"

I was read for them to start slap fighting.

I wish Moore would shut the hell up. As a filmmaker, he's brilliant. As a political activist, he's a moron, and I'm tired of having my voting decision associated with this self-agrandizing blowhard.

Everyone ought to see Fahrenheit 9/11, though -- I was surprised at all that is out there that the co-called "liberal media" doesn't think we need to see...

Re:: Moore versus O'Reilly

I saw this as well. It really served no purpose. Two people convinced that thier point of view is the right one and no one will ever budge.

My problem is Bill Oreily calls himself a journalist.

Drudge is pond scum too. He stole the picture from a blog. See for yourself http://www.thismodernworld.com/

Re:: Moore versus O'Reilly

O'reilly didn't do as good a job arguing as I expected. For example, when Moore said Bush lied about WMD's instead of just saying he had bad information he should have added that acting on bad information is not lying.

The real question was intent. Did Bush intentionally mislead and use wrong information and have a secret goal to invade Iraq. If yes, then that's a lie. If he acted on information that he thought was credible, then it wasn't lying, but a mistake.

#231357Post 10 of 22

but will bush admit to lying? NO.

will he admit to making a mistake? PROBABLY.

what about the part when he goes "we are going to fight terror yadda yadda. . . now watch this drive!"

what a fuckup. dropping bombs on civilians is not less than what happened on september 11th.

will he admit to that? no.

micheal moore may be riding the anti-bush wave but it's not just bush thats fucked up in today's world.

peace.

Re:: Moore versus O'Reilly

Lets get back on the right track again folks...the truth is that Moore has mad a career out of the last 15 years spouting rhetoric hoopla that is so ambiguous with almost nothing as a basis of facts, and has made alot of jing from doing so. Please lets wake up people, here is a guy who is a socialist, whose work is nothing but propaganda designed to reach out to the far left liberals. These people oppose things such as independent gain from capitalism, they support affirmative action and wish to have your tax dollars go to cracked out mothers who spend their lives on welfare. If Moore had his wish we would have a healthcare system for all...but guess what???! Working Joe who supports his family has to go to the emergency room and stands number 33 behind a homeless man who lacks any ambition to get a job, and your paying for him to be treated. Fair is fair, and this theory is far out! Fact is, O'Reilly should run for president. He is a no nonsense, straight shooter from the old school who is someone that we can all trust. Michael Moore on the other hand, well I think we all know what he stands for by now. O'reilly is in the business of network television so of course he has to be controversial. Im sure he plays devils advocate and becomes just a bit more opinionated for the show. Lets not support a superimposed, calculated, cut and past edited work of unpatriotic propaganda such as F-911, lets leave that to the people of say CUBA (which is the only western communist country even in 2004-i know hard to believe) where Moore specifically marketed his movie with an overwhelming agenda to gain more anti american sentiment. MOORE MUST GO>

PS>im 26 years old-lets get with the program-LONG LIVE DANCE MUSIC!!!

I doubt that Bush will accept responsibility for ANYTHING -- I love it, because it blows his credibility. He has to think we're all a bunch of idiots...

Even as an anti-Bush guy, I happen to like O'Reilly,or at least listening to his show. Sometimes he makes some sense, and sometimes it reminds me why I no longer affilliate myself with the republican party. He's way too far right, and way to old school to be elected president, tho -- a lot of liberals view him as the anti-Christ.

Every now and then, something will pop out of his mouth that is just offensive. I was listening to his spiel (sp?) on why folks ought to get credits or vouchers for sending their kids to private school. He advanced the notion that everyone should be sending their kids to private school, but not because of superior academics -- O'Reilly said that parents that send their kids to public school don't know how to raise their kids properly, such that sending your kid to public school was sending your child to a lawless, unstructured environment.

Give me a break. :roll:

actually albeit a bit wack, that comment does have a bit of truth in it..minus the raising kids properly bit.

Baba O'Reilly wouldn't run for dog catcher because he knows he would become fair game. :twisted:

'Baba O'Reilly wouldn't run for dog catcher because he knows he would become fair game'

I agree with that point. What is infectious with you liberals though is that you can NEVER lay out a clear agenda. EVER. Your whole theology is a porous outline of misguided and uneducated rhetoric. The truth is what we should all embrace is a president(one like Mr. Bush) who can fearless lead a nation without question, with an articulate and precise game plan and a strong resolute agenda. Look at the track record folks, dept of homeland security, increased military spending(hence the Ronald Reagan in the cold war era) Increased border control to stop terrorists and illegal immigrants, proactive and offensive military actions abroad to seek out terrorists where they train and lay their head. The most recent hightened national security alerts is a great example of how taking the fight to the enemy is extremely successful. Just today Bush announced he will be creating 2 new federal government agencies for intelligence that will again increase the security of a largely vulnerable nation. What more than should it take to be on the same team of the current administration. For all you who are partial to Kerry, I ask you what is his precise agenda? What has he done to be proactive in keeping our nation safe thus far?? All we get from him ever(including in the democratic national convention) is just an anti-bush policy that has not laid out even one alternative to the current policies. He is throwing a bunch of wild pitches and anyone who would even think for a moment that this country will benefit from the likes of John Kerry should really start doing some research as to what the facts are.

yours truly.

O'Relly is a pos, I never have liked him. The fact that he has the power to cut anyone off and talk over them anytime in a debate irks me. Matt Drudge is pipsqueek too, with his squeaky voice on his radio show sunday nights, but drudgereport is cool. :twisted:

I think this is the first time I've seen Bush's name in the same sentence as the word "articulate."

Guess what, dude? We've got one now -- get rid of Bush. For the first time in years, the fragmented mess that is the democratic party has cast aside their differences to prevent disaster...

I do not understand the republican hard-on for Bush. Unless you happen to be a member of the religious right, Bush does not represent traditional republican values.

Fiscal responsibility? My ass Civil liberties? See The Patriot Act Small government/keeping government out of our lives? Please Might I also add, the economy is pretty much in the shitter -- although I personally don't put too much stock in this as being anyone's fault in particular, you conservatives that believe that Bush's economic policy is the key to the kingdom have got to be scratching your heads right now.
