Actually I don't think the Paul Martin liberals were that corrupt. He called an inquiry as soon as it was possible, and him and his staff were all found to have done nothing wrong. Martin was actually a really good PM, and the only reason parliament dissolved was Harper would hold it up for days with mindless partisan arguing. Should be interesting to see how this works out now...

Too bad really. If liberals would lose a little of their overutopic attitude, they could do some good I believe. Now all it did was get them removed from power. Same will happen here I'm afraid.

Hopefully this isn't the case, and it seems that Harper has a good attitude so far. His acceptance speech was good in that he acknowledged the other parties being present (minority govt) and he looked forward to working with them. I generally don't like some of the views of the conservative party, but I'm willing to put my faith in them untill they do something dishonest or fail to do the best they can for the country.

as shown over the last 18 years. government doesnt work. from your town to the UN. it basically has failed everyone everytime. from potholes to welfare to international relations. thats why i want to take it back to where your town was your town and the old fucks ran things simply because they were around longer. that and, no welfare system, which i think is the bane of humanity. it counteracts evolution in every way,

There are some that dare to contest that view Sightless. A lot of people in a socialist system think that your system is pretty inhuman. It all boils down to what your priorities are: money or people.
